Pepe and Dude are two Chihuahuas rescued from the same home. Dude is twelve years old and spent his entire life on a chain. Pepe is six years old and was left to roam, being picked up so many times by the pound that eventually his owner refused to pay to have him released. Pepe was also suffering from joint and bone issues. Both dogs were malnourished and had life threatening infestations of fleas. After a vet check it was discovered both dogs also had heart conditions. Much to Rosie’s dismay, neither dog was toilet trained. Any limping and slow, painful movement may indicate joint and bone issues and should always be checked by a vet, who will be able to provide an accurate diagnosis and suggest treatment. Dogs with joint and bone issues may benefit from foods that include glucosamine.
