Schitt's Creek 2015

Love the humor -- talented comedic actors will have you wishing the episodes were longer than 20-ish minutes ;-)

Dan Levy is so awesome

Oh, Schitt’s Creek. I’m so glad I stumbled upon you when I did.

Such a magical show with a magical cast. Heart and soul. And all the humor a person could need. Moira Rose is one of the best television characters, ever. Catherine O’Hara is a Queen. Annie Murphy is a treasure. Eugene Levy is a legend. And Dan Levy is a genius.

A series that TRULY went out on top. Thank you for everything.

All these comments and none mention the real star of the show Catherine O'Hara. There are so many two or three word pieces of genius in her script. And delivered brilliantly.

I think I'm one of the few who liked this series less and less as it went on. It started becoming less creative and simply more about David's relationship issues, which were quite boring.
Moira deserved an award every season, she was by far the funniest and every scene with her was awesome.
Johnny was barely in the last few seasons but was good when he was.
Alexis started out being quite bland but found her character and quirks and became more interesting and funny, apart from being a sad sack in the last season.
David was the biggest turn for me. Started out being a different character I'd never seen before. Hilarious and reacting to situations that made me laugh out loud. By the end he was a boring, cheating, insecure character who barely got a laugh and got the most screen time. He made me debate not watching the show anymore, but Moira kept me around.
Overall a good show but by the end the show was a sappy relationship drama instead of the quirky comedy it started out as.

this show could have easily been a complete disaster, but some how treads the thin line of stupid and genius comedy so successfully, that it's probably one of my all time favorite shows - out of a cast of pitch perfect characters, Dan Levy's talent shines the brightest, i'm looking forward to many more seasons of this fantastic Canadian gem

Pushed play and immediately Hated this show about a bunch of rich A-holes lol..then 1 day my ol'lady pushed play again and I was dyin rollin wtf happened we just burnt up season 1 in a day

I'm just 5 episodes in... but people who say this is very funny must have a low bar for comedy. Does it get any better?

I had to give this show a chance after watching the first episode and be unhooked. BUT I’m so glad I did. It is so good. It’s one of the only shows that has made me laugh out loud by myself. You grow to love all of the characters and you feel pretty empty when you finish. I refuse to believe they aren’t a real family in real life.

Kinda like how Parks & Rec was for me, it took a bit to really get into it. But once I was hooked, I was HOOKED. I'm super picky about comedy, but I genuinely enjoyed the whole arc of the series. It had me laughing and crying in near equal measure.

I have to agree with another comment on this page when it comes to the fact that this show thrives because of its amazingly built charismatic characters who also happen to be funny as hell. David and Alexis are two of my favourite characters ever. It's also amazing how the show never loses steam. I binged it pretty quickly and with each season it just got better and funnier. I'm gonna miss it so much but i'm sure i'll have a rewatch pretty soon.

It has his moments, but if I see one more of those 40-year-old-gay-pretending-to-be-teen hysterical faces I'm gonna kill myself.

loading replies

People hyped this up so much that I think it raised my expectations too high. I liked it but didn’t love it as lot of people seem too.

loading replies

Effortlessly funny. Relatable. It kept me company when I had to move to Canada and isolate.

This show has the biggest heart. It’s so special. The only characters I don’t absolutely love are Roland and Jocelyn, but that’s just a matter of preference.

I’ve heard some call this show “an escape” — and I guess you could call it “escapism,” but it’s productive escapism. It makes you want to be a better person.

Happy I will finally remember Eugene Levy for something else instead of American Pie. Schitt's Creek is well worth a watch!

This is by far one of the best shows I've ever watched. It's so funny and heartwarming at the same time. I've never cried so much with an end of a show like I cried watching Schitt's Creek series finale. The show is that important! Definitely a must-watch for anyone.

watched my first episode of this show this morning and wow what a fresh and hilarious show from what I've seen I thought it looked funny but never took the time to watch and boy do I regret it this made me truly laugh out loud something I don't do with any old TV show I can't wait to watch more

One of the most witty shows on TV - the dialogue between characters (cleverly created and acted) is hilarious. Every season gets better.

This show was a breath of fresh air. So original and well written. Everyone should add this to their must see list.

Dan Levy's and Annie Murphy's faces make this show to me, but each character certainly has their moments and the chemistry is undeniable. It doesn't beat you over the head. It doesn't try to force inappropriate or awkward jokes where they don't belong. I love that it relies on the over-the-top personalities and just their sense of being in the Schitt's Creek world. This is a show that all of the I'M SOOO RANDOM AND WEIRD younger "comedians" need to learn from in that you have to have a person and character first, not merely caricatures that behave like you'd expect. With each episode you find a reason to fall for even the smaller part cast members. A show that stays in its lane with a strong voice. In the modern TV environment, it speaks volumes.

This show is giggle central. Terrific fun and very well-written.

Six seasons completed in 13 days. Don’t mind if I do.
What a brilliant sitcom. Incredible and wonderful development on a whole range of great characters. Well, all but Moira who basically stayed the same throughout.
Amusing and emotional throughout. The perfect blend. Well done, you bunch of Levys.

You can really tell the Levy family are having a blast working together on this series. Each season gets better and better.

Schitt's Creek is one of the best comedy shows on TV right now. Skillfully written and beautifully performed.

Decent but not amazing, bit overhyped.

boy howdy i just don't get it. watched every episode and the funniest part of this whole show is the name jocelyn. what am i missing?

Started it for Catherine O'Hara. Stayed for Catherine O'Hara. Consistently the best thing about the show.

Had no idea what to expect going into this this show but I thoroughly enjoyed it. My favorite Character in the show was the dad played by Eugene Levy he was hilarious.

It's a shame to say that I didn't live this show as much as everybody else did. Don't get me wrong, I liked it, some of the characters were great but as an overall show it just fell kind of flat. I don't know what Catherine O Hara was attempting to do with the voice she chose to play Moira Rose with but it absolutely grated on me and quite often took me out of my enjoyment of certain episodes. I liked Alexis, David was ok at times but felt like a charicature at others. I also liked Patrick and Stevie as side characters. I felt like the ending to this show was slightly rushed and didn't feel satisfactory. Overall, this was ok, just not great.

I hate her Voice, funny light hearted show, but I REALL REALLY REALLY hate her voice. Watch the show u will understand what I mean lol

Had a great time watching this. Catherine O'Haras accent put me off for the first few episodes but I found it grew on me very quickly and I ended up adoring all her little quirks, I'm so glad she stuck with it. Dan Levy, I think your portrayal of David might be my inner voice :joy:

One of the finest TV shows ever. Hilariously funny. All the actor's comedic timing is superb. A masterpiece. I will re-watch them all again in the future, more than once, probably.

Average season rating: 6.5
(I do not feel like averaging all 79 episodes)

There's no doubt that the performances are always great. Everyone in the cast inhabits their respective roles so well, it's often impossible to think of them as actors.

Comedically, though, it's a different story. Obviously there are as many different tastes in humor as there are people on our blue globe, and not every joke will appeal to all of them. In this show's case, its style and my taste in humor didn't always see eye to eye.

Ans that's OK. I still am glad I watched Schitt's Creek for all the little character-based inside jokes I can use around the Internet in memes and such.

Wow, I decided to give this a watch after putting it off for a while and have fallen in love with it. I knew it would be funny (and it is, hilarious actually) but what I didn't expect was to grow so attached to the characters. Yes, they're over the top but still relatable. The relationship between David and Patrick was so well done, it had me rooting for them the whole time. David, Patrick and Steve's friendship is also fantastic. I binged the whole 6 seasons in less than 2 weeks. I wish there was more but respect their decision to end on top, which they did. I can't wait to see what's next from them.

Delightful. A slow start turns into one of the most charming sitcoms capable of the biggest warm fuzzies. It took three tries for me to get into Schitt's Creek and I am so sad that it did, because I missed out. It's just lovely.

Great show although I found it forced and not funny on season 1. Glad I continue watching till the end!

Moira could’ve been the investor that Rosebud Motels needed!!!

I've always thought we (Canadians) produce pretty bad television shows. I was actually pleasantly surprised by this. Along with Mr. D, these shows are starting to give me some faith in Canadian made shows!
