The scene with Andrew Layton seeing sunlight and tasting cooked food for the first time in 7 years illustrates why i think Snowpiercer's going to work. Seems on-track to illustrate some of the more sociological aspects than Bong Joon Ho's more action-oriented affair.
Excellent performances from Daveed Diggs and Jennifer Connelly, thus far. Snowpiercer pulls you into an interesting world, that is a deadly effective, razor sharp satire of so many of today's social ills.
Excited to see where they go from here!
I wrote a more in-depth review, that is still spoiler-free, on my Mastering Modernity blog: https://masteringmodernity.wordpress.com/2020/05/19/snowpiercer-episode-1-review-first-the-weather-changed/
I really hope it's not CSI:Snowpiercer. The crime solving was the least interesting part of the pilot.
Well, the premise of the whole thing is completely and utterly ridiculous, so you just have to roll with it, I guess. But you are so much occupied with suspending your disbelief that there is not much left after all.
The movie had an original idea and it worked for that runtime but i could never hope to keep my suspension of disbelief for more than one episode in this series. There are just too many things that wouldn't make sense and there are no other reasons that would keep me watching from what i've seen.
Fight of social classes.... blehhh
I liked the movie - here I liked the haircut of Sting's daughter. Hope there will be more to like.
Enjoyed the film and been meaning to pick up the show for a good while. Its a great premise and Jennifer Connelly is crushing it.
Great reveal at the end of who she really is to the train. You can get away with a lot when the figure head is just a symbol. Will be interested to see how they keep it all interesting.
The premise of this show is as stupid as it could possibly be. Seriously, a frigging train?
Anyway, leaving aside that fact, the show could actually work. Post apocaliptic Orient Express. So far, I'm on board. Or aboard...:see_no_evil:
An interesting start. I'm intrigued.
Looks like police brutality exists in the future...even when the world has come to an end. Looks like recent riots hasn’t helped the future.
I already love this show, it looks stunning.
Really enjoyed the opener. Visuals were on point. Looking forward to the rest

Started off weak with unnecessary melodrama but picked up at the end of the episode. Jennifer Connelly is on point but dreadlocks dude's line delivery is distractingly poor.
