Or as I prefer to call it 'Religious fucking nutcase's try to dictate the education policy on the station'.
This episode makes my skin crawl.
Louise Fletcher was truly fantastic in this role. What an inspiration.
Another derivative and predictable episode with little imagination. Does it set up a good plot? Yes. Is the plot tired and over used? Yes, especially 27 years later. This episode does not hold up well to time. It is timeless in a way, but not in a way that I care to ever watch again. I have seen this same basic plot too many times and it doesn't get better with repetition.
This is where DS9 really picked up a gear, introducing Winn Adami, who was not just a great villain in the Trek universe, but perhaps one of the greatest villains of all time.

It´s amazing how many of the storys reflect events in the present no matter when you watch them.
