1x05 The Broca Divide

This is the first episode I have a complaint with. We have two intelligent and educated people that were told hours ago that the touch of the "Touched" turns the "Untouched" into beasts. There was an altercation between the two teams and the "Touched" upon arrival. We have someone that is acting out of the ordinary upon return from the mission. A child would be able to put 2 and 2 together. Maybe Johnson was in contact with the "Touched"? Just a thought...

Then we have Daniel trying to save one person instead of completing the mission and potentially saving hundreds. All he had to so was put the girl down and fire his weapon until the "Touched" were scared off...

Unbelievable how dense everyone was in this episode. Come on, you could figure out the entire episode from the first five minutes.

I'm going to assume this was a reference to "The Naked Now" (Star Trek: The Next Generation 1x03), which itself was an homage to "The Naked Time" (Star Trek 1x04)… Wait a minute, all these sci-fi episodes about people going nuts because of some unseen chemical phenomenon or disease are early in the first season of their respective shows! Coincidence?! :exploding_head:

OK, so really, this exact story structure is overdone—and apparently has been for decades. But it's still impressive that the cast pulled off their respective evolutionary pseudo-regressions so well, at least to me. While predictable, it was a fun episode. Also one of the Marines is named "Makepeace", which you just have to think is funny because I'm positive it was done on purpose!

One of the best stories Ive ever seen on TV... So crazy motive i would even dream about something like this
