Inputting the data "directly" through the computer's LCD monitor connected via VGA… Sure, that'll work. /s

These replicator storylines never grabbed me, especially the "human" replicator ones, but this is probably the best of the bunch. Amanda Tapping manages to make her two roles distinct from each other and spending time at this new Alpha Site is a nice change. The episode is unfortunately predictable and a little on the slow side, but it does have some fun within that. Fifth really could have been developed into a far more interesting character and I think not making him an ally back in his first appearance was a missed opportunity - so his death here feels surprisingly inconsequential.

So frustrating all the bad decisions being made. How on Earth is Sam so gullible? The ONLY weapon they have against the replicators and she’s sharing the schematics..and her memories which contain all events since the replicator Sam was created sigh.:pensive:

Fifth had such potential after the first appearance. He was such a great character. But then the writers failed to make anything of the character and wrote him so poorly it is shameful. It's almost like a 5th grader took over writing the character.

Surprise, surprise. Yet more indecisiveness on O'Neill's part. The O'Neill character has been such crap the entire series. He started off bad and just keeps getting worse. Why oh why couldn't they write the character well? He was fairly well written in the movie. A bit of an asshole, but he was obviously competent. Not in SG1.

Carter isn't much better. Why the hell would you compromise the Alpha site? Go to some random planet with nobody else there. That way you don't give anything away and you don't endanger people and an obviously super expensive site (it isn't cheap to build inside a mountain). And don't get me started on all the data Carter gives the Replicators... Yet another fail. Actually, it is like 5 fails.

And, yes, this is 100% Carter's fault. This was so obvious what was going to happen and Carter walked right into it. All blame is on her.
