"God Was Never On Your Side"
I love this show so damn much. It's gonna physically hurt when it ends.
ARGHFARGHHHH! Is there a better word than abso-bloody-lutely? 'Cause if it exists that's what I'm going with.
Epic. Awesome. Wacky. Insane. Unexpected. Mind-blowing. The ending was fucking incredible. But you know what the best part was? That song at the end. Perfection. 14 years and the show still has it. The last scene gave me the chills. It's one of my favourite songs and I got teary eyes as I listened to it.
I still don't know how to process this character change. Chuck acted so differently in season 11. Why Chuck? Why?! You're supposed to be nice, cute and awkward and yet you've turned up to be such a dick!
The idea of Chuck as a villain is gonna take me a while to adapt to. I sort of feel betrayed. He's a character that I adore (I still have fond memories of "Don't Call Me Shurley") and seeing him become a villain was unexpected and weird. How does one of the most loved characters turn into a baddie? Well, I guess that no longer having control over your own characters, makes you go mad. But then again, he invented free will.
I might be calling him Chucky from this episode onwards. However, I don't think I'll watch any scene that episode or any other with Chuck in the same way.
Rob Benedit killed it, both metaphorically and literally. And so did Jared and Jensen. I always get emotional when Chuck's in the room. That argument in the cemetery...the writing was perfect. I gasped when Dean said "this is not a story, it's our lives. So God or not, you can go to Hell!"
He just undid 14 seasons of work with a snap of his fingers. The Woman in White, evil Clown, Bloody Mary... I cried tears of joy, except for the clown. I hate clowns. I guess it's time for a season 1 rewatch.
Poor Jack! He broke my heart into a milliom pieces. He can't be any more adorable. I don't care if it's by an allegiance of the Unholy Trinity of Lucifer, the Empty and Death, but I want my baby back! Also, Cas is such a dad!
The opening shot of the episode was sick. Loved the cinematography. The episode started off real wacky, the wackiest season finale of the whole series.
Quote of the week: random dude shouting "I hate everyone". Well, that and the "stapler queen" lady. The whole scene was golden. A dude who really loves his yoghourt, Sam and Celine Dion, girl just wants to be loved, Trump made a deal with Crowley (damn, I miss my King!), Lizard people are real, and there's an earth where we're all squirrels, lol.
The meta references were strong. Las time an episode was this meta I was watching "The Monster at the End of This Book". I love how the writers were aware of how weak the BMoL plot was. And about Death, "I like the old Death better".
The same goes for the gun. I'm pretty sure the writers knew how absurd that gun was. Also, if it doesn't shoot bullets, why did it have a magazine?
As a Spaniard, I love when they use my language in a show, but that Spanish was awful, lol. Also, I was digging Chuck's jacket so damn much.
"Story's over. Welcome to the end". It makes me really sad to think that the show only has 20 episodes left. It's literally changed my life and it's gonna be hard to let it go. I just hope the season finale lives up to the expectations and gives both the characters and the audience a great send-off. I'm looking forward to ir and to see how the boys get away from that zombie apocalypse. If only they remembered they have a Lucille...
remember s04e18, chuck said: Obviously, Im a God... I write things and then they come to life.... A cruel, cruel, capricious God.... Well I dont think the writers had that in mind for s14 back then. Still creepy ;-)

I want to see how having God as an adversary plays out and think it's a brilliant strategy for the last season. Plus we get Chuck.
Jack went to the empty then is maybe going to become a reaper or an empty himself. Very interesting.

"Story's over. Welcome to the end." What an awesome introduction for the final season. But it looks like Supernatural is turning into The Walking Dead now. I don't know what to think about that.

I mean supernatural is clearly my favorite show ever but to be quite honest that finale was amazing regardless of my obsession with this show.. Who would've expected that twist with God being the big bad, I've never seen that one coming and the delivery of it was amazing.. Really great writing
So turned out that all this time God was messing around with his creations.. To him existence only exists for his own amusement, he views his creation as a fictional characters that he mess with in order to make a good story or a fun one!!.. And that was obvious from his talk with Sam.. So now we know that God doesn't really care about earth or anything else even, and that kinda makes him a villain
To be honest when they announced that next season (season 15) going to be the last season I kinda got depressed because I love this show so much and I was worried about how they gonna wrap up 14 years of build-up with this upcoming season.. But now I'm kinda interested
I mean we have a freaking zombies now!!! And they kinda gave us a foreshadowing of that when that teenager asked Jack if zombies exists and he said not really.. Well now they do and my boys went full Walking Dead now following their father's steps LOL.. I'm really looking forward to how far they gonna go with evil God in next season especially that it's honestly the ultimate thing so I don't see how they can beat him
But now Jack is in the empty with his father and Billie, so I don't know her deal but I hope it's for the benefit of the Winchesters
Anyway amazing finale I give it 10/10
Once again I am impressed with what they have done. To flip the script so abruptly was a little bit unexpected (I figured he was smiling cause he had something else cooked up and I think the setup for the last season is great.
I don't know how they'll fill a whole season with it though, especially seeing how they end things and the ramifications it'll have but I'm sure by the start of next season it all won't be as bad as they let us think it was here (they've done this before).

Some writers just hate it when their characters write themselves, I guess. Plotwise, I'm sorta hoping that Billie plays the wild card here and that, as a result, we get to see more of Jack in the final season.
This episode and this song... I‘m speechless. That was great!

Okay, so Chuck turning is something I didn't see coming, so props on the writers for actually doing something new for a change. I was expecting Dean to shoot Chuck, though, like how he killed Death.
Earlier in the season, Jack said Zombies aren't real. I wondered if that was going to be foreshadowing.

WOW. probably my favorite finale. the absolute dread that you feel, the knowledge that god has finally given up and left them to die, etc. insane chills at the graveyard scene and seeing jack wake up in the empty.
and maybe this is because ive been spoiling myself like fucking crazy so i already knew he was going to go evil, but ive always thought of god as some evil entity in this show? even back when he was first revealed in season 11 his motives were soo ugh and it was pretty obvious he wasn't some good guy.
also despite this evil vs good thing w god i always love it when he shows up. rob benedict is a phenomenal actor! rob makes me wish god would show up more, lol
At least Supernatural waited until the season finale of the second to last season to jump the shark.
I was not so happy with this finale. I thought things were going along just great until they turned Chuck into a bad guy. He's always been one of the most loved characters. Something special on the show. It's fine that he ignored them most of the time because that's what god does. Now it looks like the final season will be a zombie apocalypse started by god.
So they're going to make god the big bad of the final season. Who's fucking bright idea was that. Since we saw Billy and the empty entity with Jack, I can almost guarantee he'll be back. Maybe a 3 way team up Jack, Billy and the entity help the boys against god. I don't know but what I do know is the whole Chuck thing sucks.

Yeah, God isn't good, a good God never would've worked. But I think they won't do a bad God either. He is just God, we're his story, and like a writer, he'll pay for the mistake of interferring, and certanly we'll do too.
Even though I haven’t enjoyed the show in years and I’ve been mostly having it play at x2 speed in the background, I’m actually intrigued and looking forward to see how they’re going to wrap up the show since next season is the last.
That was quite the wake up call. A new team forming for next season, that should rock.
We still have Amora to step in, waiting for that, where are they going to put her, if she comes back.
