Supernatural: Season 14

14x20 Moriah

Chuck just casually shows up and tells everyone how badly they've effed up.

"Ugh. Billie. I liked the old Death better." God has spoken.

I'm so glad Cas is finally taking a stand against Dean's BS.

Chuck's a creep.

Okay, so Chuck turning is something I didn't see coming, so props on the writers for actually doing something new for a change. I was expecting Dean to shoot Chuck, though, like how he killed Death.

Earlier in the season, Jack said Zombies aren't real. I wondered if that was going to be foreshadowing.

God's a dick.

@sophiefilo16 I seem to be the only one that's like "Oh, it's intriguing that chuck acted this way. And... moving on!" the rest of y'all are like "THAT AWFUL GOD BEING SO MEAN TO THE PRETTY LOOKIN WINCHESTER BOYS."

However, you do give the writers props (generous of you) for the chuck thing too, so..

What's new?

@dewdropvelvet I have mixed feelings about Chuck. On the one hand, I entirely buy (and have thought myself) that everything is just entertainment or Chuck. I have few qualms about that. My issue is how petty he was at the end. He turned his back on humanity like a spoiled brat, which does not fit the character we've seen up until this point. In season 11, Chuck had given up on humanity and saw no point in saving the world. It was the Winchesters (+Castiel) who proved to him that humanity was worth saving. This is Chuck's first appearance since then, so it makes no sense that his viewpoint would radically change. I'm hoping the solution to God's temper tantrum will be Amara once again reminding him that humans are worth saving (since she also had to learn that lesson). Either way, I hope Chuck isn't in the next season much. He is a character that is more impactful in small doses.

What's new? Well, I have next to no free time and am behind on almost ALL my shows. The final season of The Good Place just started, so I'm going to try to somewhat keep up with that. And you? Feels like forever since the days of TVMuse...

@sophiefilo16

"He turned his back on humanity like a spoiled brat, which does not fit the character we've seen up until this point." OK, now that's actually a good point. I paused when I read that. Maybe giving up is also part of his plan?

I disagree he's best in small doses, though. I still want to see him in the last season. Maybe "most impactful in small doses" is true, but him and the Winchesters banter is always a highlight.

Hashtag TvMuseDays. #IMissthemtoo. I started a new job, but it's not a paying gig yet. Life is challenging. Good to keep busy though.

P.S. When you said Cas was taking a stand against Deans BS, what did you mean?

@sophiefilo16 So Amara feels humans aren't worth saving. Good to know.

@dewdropvelvet You meant Casatiel began torturing Deans love (ex-love) to get his way with his love. Because Cass DOESNT cares about more than just Kyla, has NO shred of decency left. Which is why he represented by Robot in Doom Patrol.

@dewdropvelvet Huh. I never received the notification about your old reply. I can't remember what I meant about the "Cas taking a stand" comment. I think there was a point in this episode where Dean tried to belittle Cas and Cas fought back a little.

Yeah, working sucks, especially when it doesn't bring much money. Even so, it's good to have some productivity in life.

Back in season 11, Amara felt humanity (Earth in general) was deeply flawed and not worth preserving with the exception of Dean. Chuck (and co) was able to stop her at the end of the season by convincing her that humans had potential, even at their worst. I'm hoping Amara will come back and be the one to remind Chuck of this. It's the only appropriate end I can see to this conflict. Either that or it turns out that Chuck was testing them for...some reason...
