My review: I looked up ratings for various children's shows & movies in these categories. Some higher ratings (e.g. TRAKT) are added due the average ratings of the other groups below.
Here are the ratings I found for the shows on this lists:
• Common Sense Media rates: age 4+ Parents rating 2+ (www.commonsensemedia.org)
• CGI (Computer-generated imagery) aimed at children aged 2 to 10
• Nickelodeon averages shows ages 2 to 17
• Netflix rated the show TV-Y (Designed to be appropriate for all children)
• Fandom Wiki: Under ratings for Animated Shows (TV-G/TV-Y) https://backyardigans.fandom.com/wiki/Home
• TRAKT rates some of these shows TV-T7 (Old Children 7+ Recommended) & are included here do to average lower age rating of others.

Growing up, there were three kinds of kids. Disney Channel kids, Cartoon Network kids, and Nickelodeon kids. I know I might seem like I was a Disney Channel kid because I now love the Plooos and I love Disney World. However, Nickelodeon shows were always the funniest to me. They were the ones with genuine storytelling that wasn't the bad kind of stupid. Great to grow up with! It'll always hold the belt, for me!
