Private Notes
Returning to a series they made nearly five decades ago, Michael Palin and Terry Jones filmed new linking material to be incorporated with some of the remaining film inserts to create a completely new programme.
Usually destroyed once production is completed, nearly an hour's worth of film inserts from The Complete and Utter History of Britain were kept safe by Terry Jones. Newly transferred and restored in HD, these film inserts are presented 'as archived', with some sketches not including the music and sound effects that would have been added during the final studio recording.
Recorded in October 2013, producer Humphrey Barclay talks candidly about the making of The Complete and Utter History of Britain.
