Brilliant episode. The storytelling is just out of this world here. I loved how they incorporated King Edward again and I‘m sure going to have to do some research on the Al Fayed family.

I don't understand why the Palace has had such a scathing review of this series, it just makes them all seem so much more human.

Simply lovely episode! Haven't laughed this much during an episode of the crown. Also the discision the queen made in the end was the beginning of the end of a marriage. All fiction of course

What exactly was the point of this episode?

What a pointless episode of filler...

Oh, I absolutely love episodes of the Crown starting far off into the distance ending up showing the isolation and gatekeeping of love from inside the royal family. Both stories of the Al Fayeds, Sydney and Diana entwirling around dreams, duty and servitude unable to touch those whom everyone think of as gods only to find kinship in being an outcast regardless of their talent or wealth. Just really good stories and perspectives of the monarchy without really indulging in the monarchy like we usually do.
