Avasarala clearly in the wrong here, so I'm hoping that the new face gonna came out on top, precisely because her "cheating" got leaked.
If she comes from the same unfair situation that majority of population faces than they wouldn't care that she cut them off. She just played the system, that born into power like Avasarala represent. It doesn't feel like populism to let people choose in which unfair lottery they wanna participate.
The whole blackmail thing with Bobbie feels extremely forced. It's a fun story opportunity if she goes along with the cop. But the way we arrived to that doorstep feels beneath this show. And besides when similar things happened in our history:
- influx of people with military experience;
- high level of unemployment;
- excess of weapons;
It happened to countries in financial ruins, usually after lost war (Germany), between changes in political systems (USSR) meaning that old country lost or unable to maintain control.
None of it happened to Mars. There shouldn't be a reason why weapon's black market got so out of hand or why Earth slept on it.
I bet the asshole was right when he killed the first guy, but the level of his power trip... jfc. Those bodies are definitely on the Team's tab.
They could have prevented all of it after hearing about Amos' discovery. This part of a mess feels well explained, through.
I don't care about weird structures at all. Factions conflicts? Give me more.
Scientist woman wants to go near the structure, and Holden and Alex want to stay near, even though they can't analyze the structure and can't do anything to it since it's 1.5 billion years old and near completely unknown. So they're all just standing around there like waiting for the next plot element.
Why did Holden even activate the structure? He didn't need too. In the bubble had to trust Miller to stop the bad situation from happening. It's only after activating the structure that he's like "What if he's playing me?"
Draper going to the police and the drug dealer just happened to be a detective, at that specific place and taking her specific case is stupid. Draper leaving the door open for them to get whatever they want for the drug dealer/terrorists is foolish and stupid.
It's stupid Naomi keeps trying to do stuff and is almost dying because of it. What the hell are you doing, risking your life like that.
Amos trying to get the generator was stupid. When he tried, he was just about to die until the woman interjected. He was going to die by doing something foolish, and that would have been the end of Amos. She just happened to interject at the right time and was at the right place. It's stupid and unrealistic, Amos would not have done that.
They would have known about Gao's record when first considering her for the position of home secretary.
Why is Gao so pissy about wanting to colonize other worlds so fast. It's going to take centuries for these worlds to be colonized, and Chrisjen is saying let's just wait a few years at least. There's probably the reason of a "goldrush" but who cares? There's over a thousand planets to colonize and mine.
Some stupid stuff this episode.
Another awesome episode. Those dialogues are just so good!
Amos: "Okay, you want me to shoot Mortry?"
"How did you get there so quickly?"
Alex: "Because we're celebrities."
Amos: "So does that mean we're not fucking anymore?" (Chandra's response was also great)
The dialogue and intense staring between Amos and Mortry.
Bobbie: "Come again for David or for me bring a gun. I don't wanna kill an unarmed man."
I don't want to be Felcia in the Show - Instead of starting of with one controlling piece of shit parent who wants her life to be what they imagine (like in the book) it should be she has two...
"so does that mean we're not fucking anymore?"
You got to love Amos :)
He gets way more love here than he did in the book...
The episode slowly develops the plot of this season still with no focus on where they go. Bobbie, Avasarala, Roci crew, and the thing going between Murtry and Belters on Ilus. They still are joined in a coherent structure, but it doesn't have the same pace as in previous The Expanse seasons. That said, it's interesting to see the conventional politician side of Avasarala after her venture prior, Amos' always no-nonsense quick wit, and Bobbie's attempt to deal with her precarious life. Though the way it unfolds itself is rather sour, the way they handle the Mars police force - a bored, bureaucratic mass - is a subtle touch well done.
The women who plays Nancy Gao had some pretty stale line delivery, and rather dry performance.
I sense that they're still setting up the season. Compared to the other plots, Bobby's dispute with the kidnappers is pretty meaningless.
Overall, I'm excited to see where this all building to.
Amos and Avasarala get a lot of love from the writers. Great dialogue, great characters.
I can't seem to stop watching...
Everybody gets a pony and a blow job, That was hilarious XDD
"Kay, you want me to shoot Morty?" "Cool, I'll see you later." "How about now? I'm free right now." God, I live for these Amos moments.

Looks like the whole planet is some kind of alien space ship, atmosphere probably got created in those billion years. Hence the abundance of Lithium that the belters were mining?
