[5.7/10] Another stinker, if you’ll pardon my expression. I don’t really know where to begin with this one, so let’s start with wasting Ray Liotta. Pairing him with Ruxin, in a generic “trying to impress boss” scenario, that ends with stolen phones and epi pens and shouting and the usual dumb lunacy is just a squandering of a legitimate guest star. Peter getting into a snit with “Glovesy”, the guy who’s directing traffic, is another instance of this show featuring a character being a total asshole for no good reason and expecting us to like them for it.
And I can enjoy some good gross out humor, but the bits here were just so lifeless and unimaginative. The “cheap food gives you diarreah” is such an easy bit, and Kevin stopping in the middle of traffic to go poop in the park in front of his kid’s teacher is just more contrived nonsense. Andre’s foraging shtick was good for a couple of laughs, and Taco’s song was cute enough to pass muster, but the show leaned hard on gross out stuff and suffered mightily for it.
Overall, another weak episode that’s starting to squelch my hope that The League had found its way.
