what a load of "crap" this episode was to my brain. it wasn't funny , nor insightful nor anything at all. a total waste of resources making this episode. when you don't have a story to tell , don't fucking force it.
Can't believe Lisa tore up a check for $12 million ffs.

A fantastic episode let down by a terrible ending. There's just no reasonable way to justify Lisa's decision, and it's one of the most egregious examples of the questionable moralizing of The Simpsons' golden era.
The rest of the episode remains stellar, regardless.
