In 1987 when Lattie McGee was 4 years old, he was beaten and tortured by his mother's boyfriend. They went to court and Lattie's mom was sent to jail for not doing anything about it. Lattie was abused for 2 1/2 months and eventually died. It's 20 years into the future and she's willing to speak to Steve.
