This series is intense. Can't wait to see more.
Disappointed but not surprised that people like the most violent episode best.
68 | Ishida is a real deal. The yakuza war that we waiting for finally begins. This episode has the best scene so far in Tokyo Vice. But there were a couple of minus points, it was unfortunate when some character has a good performance, there were also other characters who had an awkward performance. Anyways, this was an episode that showed explicitly the rivalry between clans, and we need a lot of that.

The slowness of this series is really wearing on me.
This was the best episode so far! Finally less Jake and more jakuza.
Not sure about the Samantha-Sato thing. It was a bit too random, considered the development and coldness in their relationship in this and the previous episode. It doesn't even make much sense as a sort of "extreme circumstances that make the character act out of its way", in the way it was framed (no, that brief quarrel in the locker room is not what I define as most tense moment of extreme circumstances). I half expected to be a manipulative act on Samantha's part to get rid of her blackmailer, to have him killed through her new lover. If that's the case, I dig it. Otherwise, I'm quite unsure. I could have seen it happening from the first couple of episodes, if they had given them a different kind of development.
I love Polina, she steals the scene or holds her own beautifully every time she's around
Jake is playing the gaijin card cleverly here. “My Japanese is so bad let’s switch over and then also throw all Japanese mannerisms over board because this way I can get what I came here for”. Smart.
And girl has got a yak-bf… something silly like extortion by a third party should easily be resolved no?

Jake is getting a bit needy/annoying, hopefully it’s just a character arc. I’m shocked Samantha and Sato got together, though they do seem to fit well.
What an ending. This will surely spark a gang war.
