This episode reached the peak of emotivity. I rarely get emotional with series and this one got me. Queen Charlotte was an annoying character in the original series before I watched this. Now I want to see Bridgerton all over again.
I just loved the way she was introduced to George. I know it was a bit predictable but it caught me off guard this time and it was nice. I think it was a nice start to the new series, especially how it ended. As expected the soundtrack is also fantastic, and the scenery is stunning. I love these series.
Amazing episode. I'm liking this show more and more. Love the idea of monster girl and the downside of her power. Absolutely brilliant
OMG this is one of the best episodes so far. The business with lord Danbury at the end was epic. And now I get it. We’re witnessing here an adaptation of Marie Antoinette’s drama in her early years. We even had Mozart in scene, which is historically accurate. Daaaaamn I loved it.
This episode is an true artistic accomplishment. Beautiful. Stunning. One of the best of the series so far
What the....?
It’s a bad, very bad movie. I mean, really bad. Is Morgan Freeman trying to destroy his own career?
After this movie, Radcliffe is a bit more than HP. Totally recommended. I was engaged for the whole movie. Storytelling is very good
That’s what I mean. This is the best I’ve seen in years
Not an awful episode but it had a lot of filler… the same could be achieved in much less run time.
I was expecting another silly love story but this one has some depth to it. It does stand out.
Absolutely great. Watched it on recommendation. Maybe this one will take me back to watching more anime
Sure, there are many plot holes and nonsense stuff, but behind all that it stands a really good and reflective movie about how far can people go to get people’s attention. We’re taking it to the extreme with physical health as an example, but what about doing stupid things in social media and ruining your reputation for likes?
Why do they keep telling stories back and forth? I mean the first hour was a mess and I was about to leave the cinema. Thanks god I didn’t because starting the first hour ahead it is an excellent movie. If you’re watching at home you will probably want to skip the first 45 minutes or so. It’s pure thrash. And the messy scenes repeats at the end in the correct timeline order so there’s no point suffering that horrible first part.
It was better I think than chapter 2
After this episode I’m considering watching the rest of the series or not
Well, the initial exposition dialogue felt awkward and completely unnatural. Aside from that, it makes up a nice start to the series and leaves you hanging as it should in the end. Interesting premise, fair script and outstanding score.
Now I watched this chapter I wonder why my garden is always blooming
OMG, that scene in Naruto where he refused Iruka's offer for Ramen was absolutely devastating! :sob: I couldn't believe it - Ramen is practically Naruto's lifeblood, and for him to turn it down... it just goes to show how much pain he was really in. :broken_heart:
I truly expected something better. The argument is weak and has many plot holes. Way too many for my taste.
Cute and entertaining, but has nothing special and adds nothing to the genre
Agreed it is not the best movie and the plot has major pitfalls but it is enjoyable to say the least
This is one of those movies you start watching just to entertain a bit while cooking until it literally grabs you and makes you stop whatever else you're doing to stay alert. Happened to me, just like that.
The movie is fantastic. Thrilling and really smart. Some inconsistencies here and there, but they do not affect the experience.
SPOILER:
Makes me remember this story about this family who still had slaves after it was illegal, and they kept it secret for generations. I don’t remember much about it.
I was about to quit after the first minutes of the movie but decided to give it a second chance. It was a good decision. The movie is quite good and not as absurd and silly as the intro seems to suggest
It wasn’t that bad. Not outstanding, either. I didn’t come with any expectations, so that’s ok for me.
So far I loved most of the adaptations and changes. Not here. The casino part was my favorite in the book and they didn’t get it quite right or at least it didn’t feel so for me.
This is goooood! And it’s getting better still. I usually don’t like flashbacks much but this is a rare exception.
It somehow makes me remember the anime series Kingdom, especially in this episode. That’s actually a good thing. But last episode was majestic. This was very entertaining.
I get more scared with aliens than evil spirits or any other type of monster. Damn! This movie gave me the chills!
The striking similarities with Jehovah Witnesses is terrifying. As a former member of the JWs I feel this is something everyone needs to watch before handing their faith to a third party. Otherwise it can be used as a weapon against you and ultimately reach as low as sexual assault.
