3rd act is bad and undermines the 1st and 2nd
So the new season starts with a slightly sloppy continuation of a two-part episode.
Sloppy because episode skips gadget presentation (and mentioning it right before the skip made it even more awkward)
I think there was a bad translation of "roses are red violets are blue..." poem because that clue leading to a brown train was bizzare.
Intense scene ending up with using a gadget that the victim (Alex) could use on her own any time .. .
will ginger star and Sam swapping places? next time?
Damn, Clover's character is literally the show in a nutshell: one moment being fun and wholesome next moment being perv
Seriously though, the dirtiestscene of the season is in this episode.
Clover's flipped ends hairstyle already makes her look older than Sam and Alex (60s fashion association?)
Wow, worst subplot so far, feels like screenwriters didn't have time or motivation to do something bearable this time.
I think it was first time girls were shown SO excited to be abducted to Jerry's lol
Darrell is the best and vampire-like environmentaist drops creepy chess innuendos. Also some literal yuri on ice.
all villains in this show are revenge-villains so far
and Clover looks old enough with that 60s style hair flip
one of the more fun episodes
in this episode:
LEGS
Sam and Alex go Michelin mascot
yet another revenge villain, this is getting annoying
it would be good to see Mandy's defeat someday
who does nails on a football field
that part with the brain inflation was mildly terrifying
Apparently if the episodes order or number being changed the comments stay in original order and it makes people look like they're posted on the wrong episode. Oof.
time travel is a really fun plot device but not here
The episode order is different in various sources. Wikipedia has it one way, the offcical youtube the other. Glad it doesn't really matter since the show doesn't have any major plot going on.
I guess the dialogue will continue being wacky and there is no reason to point this out anymore.
In this episode:
meet Jerry the epic prankster
I don't think the stuff in this episode was supposed to be lowkey fetishy but they COULD make the cream some other colour than white.
Anyway, it was weird waitching the episode as an adult.
okay, this season is definitely not rising in quality
in this episode:
oriental dancer outfits
midget aliens prefer French
happy ending with a car accident
I wish the girls were a bit more professional at times. I know comedy must be added and they're just teens but they're qualified spies too. It'd be more inspiring and satisfying to watch the protagonists do a pro move sometimes. Watching them talk to a tribal man in their own language and not suspecting anything is just. bruh.
In this episode:
Super special awesome spy phone-powder is as loud and annoying as your usual Nokia.
In this episode:
the number of questionable moments increases
This episode'd deviated from the formula though, this time they got quite subtle deception from the villains.
In this episode:
girls in swimsuits
girls in swimsuits sitting on girls
girls fighting
''it's just a prank bro''
The fact that the creative team behind Totally Spies acknowledged the slightly sexual undertones in their show is undeniable.
Exuse me but their tiddies are always highlighted, Chest silhouette.is always highlighted. Why?? It's unneccessary! Unless...
So this in this episode you'll find:
I'm concerned about this episode.
An okay episode, in ''the better ones'' category for sure.
Missed opportunity to spread the word that plucking grey doesn't brings more.
Even though it could've been a kind decision, exploring the problem of teens having grey hair would be too serious of a theme for this particular show xD So''oh it was fake grey'' solution is understandable.
Nice message regarding ageism in the end btw!
In this episode:
A serious decrease of curves and strange poses comparing to the previous episode. Nice.
Fun fact: usually Alex is the MVP on a mission.
I understand that it'sanime inspired and they're using semi-relistic proportions but why draw cleavages? Practising anime's approach of working on multiple target audiences?
So this one is deleted from the official show's youtube channel. Most probably because of the boyfriend-girlfriend stuff. Also pro spies forgot they were given perfect gear to eliminate the invisible guy so that the chase scene could happen.
In this episode:
Clover is a brat :(
By the way, that was some serious politics in the core of the conflict in a children show!
Overall, it feels so wrong nowadays to see the show making fun of nerds (Arnold) and propagate materialistic values (homecoming queen competition + the general theme of girls wanting to shop and have luxurious vehicles, trips).
isn't the second episode's title "The New Jerry"? and the "Queen for a Day" episode is 12th?
when they do these ''rolled eyes and blush'' animoo faces ONONONONOOO
i'm just so happy that SUF is so much better than the movie, many were worried the show was going to go downhill.
Now that's how you 'end on the high note'. My applause to the creators!!
the quality of the conflict in this series redeems every flaw of previous series so far
cringing at Steven's behaviour shows that the creaors did a good job writing him as a teenager
