Extremely funny, very sad, depressing and uplifting #AfterLife is not only one of the best Netflix Originals but flat out one of the best shows on Netflix full stop. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
A good story at its core, and Holly Hunter is fine, but I found the film to be mostly unsatisfying.
Meh, It's watchable, action wasn't bad, and the story plot wasn't anything great.
Naked is a good but not great groundhog day clone. It's above decent even, with a touch of gross out humor (and I'm not talking about Marlon's naked body) that plague Wayan's films since Scary Movie 2. Still sincerity is developed eventually, though it doesn't feel that way from the start.
Groundhog Day movies are about characters becoming better people. The main character in this movie usually has to start off as a bad character and become better. Rob Anderson, our naked main character, does not start off bad. He actually starts off very sympathetic, but as the movie goes on you realize that he's not exactly good as he seemed.
It's a sort of backwards wave for character development and it causes things to start off a bit slowly because you don't realize if anyone has had any actual character progression. By the end of the movie, however, a solid argument could be made that the film is worthwhile. So to reconclude, in the end the movie is better than decent but not fantastic.
Twin Peaks is indisputably one o the greatest shows ever, however you have to watch it at the right time and recognize a few things.
First off, if you get to the end of the 3rd episode and you still don't like it, then it may not be your type of a show. That third episode is really the point where you find out if you'll like the rest or not.
Secondly, if you watch it and don't like it, then wait a couple years then come back. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have liked it if I watched it a few years ago.
Thirdly there is a noticeable drop in quality about halfway through the second season. Hammer your way through these episodes, do not skip them. I know they are painful to watch but the payoff is worth it. The show eventually does get itself back on track just in time for the final episode to be the greatest episode of any television show ever.
I recommend this show to everyone but that doesn't mean it's for everyone. Give it a shot though, it's really fucking good
This is such an amazing crime series. I like that the mystery takes up multiple episodes, and not everything is (entirely) solved within one or two episodes, like with most crime shows I've seen.
scorpion is at least funny, this just stupid
If a piece of this quality was delivered on such a tiny production budget, I wonder where would be blown away if Nextflix decides to backup the same director, script writers, Mr. Pine and Mr. Roper for one of their original productions. This guy, Roper (Hugh Laurie), may have been Dr. House, but that clearly was in another life. Hugh has many more lives than a cat when it comes to acting.
On the other hand, not having been yet acquainted with Mr. Tom Hiddleston, discovering him on Tv has been a more than pleasant surprise. A great actor, I may say for his superb performance as Mr. pine
A standing Bravo for the whole crew and everyone involved with the miniseries. A great all around product no matter the constraints.
BTW. A Fall 2016 Must see.
