shi**y movie with nothing to do with the real case AND they used the "nymphomaniac effect", using the same actress. it's slow, obvious and, well... it has Jim Carrey. since he's tried to be a nice guy, it didn't work out. run away from it.
i think it would be a great movie, however, they have chosen to do it so emotional... it would be so much better if it was raw as fuck!
i understand the experimental language, all the scenes that try to touch us in every sense, but... it gets tired in the end. simply couldn't get watching it. need to sleep, make something better.
the first and second one where perfect. this movie is good, we still have Takeshi's feeling, but it's isn't so puzzling as the others.
Can't believe that this movie doesn't have more "public". It has the Vietnam war as a background, but it adds too much to the background of the characters.
Basically, it's a movie about a black community living in Brooklyn in the final 60's. Some of them go to the war and, when they came back, they found that besides fighting on a white american's war, they have nothing. All is even worst then before. Now they're trying to fight and keep their lives as much as they can, even though they were called "heroes" by the American government.
While the first one is great, with its psychological area well worked with the Vietnam soldier character, this movie decides to turning it into a kids movie. but NOT A GOOD ONE. I've always read about how disappointed it was. I'm a fan of the first since i was a child, but today i had the strength to try it and... ok, i believe how dumb the second is. can't understand how they made it two more movies.
This is the third Goro's movie. As you can expect, you'll have lots of good action scenes and drama. The story sticks to you easily. For those who love Yakuza's movies, welcome aboard and start with Goro VIP I.
