So he's basically his whore, right?
What a terrible way to end the show... that last episode was just so jampacked with stories cut too short.
Missed a lot of really important plot points.
Finally... some ACTUAL plot development.
I personally feel like this episode was all over the place. I thought we're getting an episode for that one guy and some sort of character dev't but his story quickly finished with JUST being a relationship with Rudeus' friend. I thought we were getting Sylphiette's reveal, but that didn't happen either. And then we have the most random fight with a demon that's later introduced to be their teacher. I'm genuinely confused with the direction of this season. I thought we were getting some serious Rudeus skill dev't or at least clues from where her mother is.
I cried my ass out. Huhu.
What a terrible way to end the season.
Tanya dying? Bert's Achilles cock? Albie and Portia keeping in touch? Valentina folding? Ethan and Harper resolving everything with sex and being okay with whatever, and Cameron getting away with everything he did?
To be honest, Daphne saved this show from getting a 0.
I can already see The Last Of Us as the next HBO series people will be waiting for.
We can split this 1st episode into two parts:
Act 1 (The Buildup)
For watchers unfamiliar with the game, they would usually expect this as another zombie movie with a predictable plot. With the amount of zombie or 'infection' movies released, people can be a little tired of the genre, but The Last of Us gives us a new approach to it by introducing fungi as the primary catalyst of the pandemic. The early sequence gives us a suspenseful feeling of uncertainty for what's to come. It really gives us a good buildup of what's about to happen to Sarah with the news radio, the watch shop closing early, and that old neighbor twitching.
Chaos breaks and we're brought into this car sequence that's very similar to the game. We're taken into the backseat, watching as everything unfolds before our eyes, except this time, instead of a car hitting us, the writers decided to make it a plane crashing in the field (which I think was a pretty nice touch). Sarah sprains her ankle and Joel is forced to carry her as they escape and get chased until a soldier finds them. Sarah dies... time skip.
Act 2 (Worldbuilding)
Episode 1 did a really good job with showing us how the world was after 20 years, and introducing to us the not-so-infected infected. It does a really great job of introducing who the main characters has come to be and what would be the driving plot of the show onwards. It leaves a great deal of the unknown outside the wall and at the same time, shows what it's like to be inside them.
Ending shot was just epic. I can't wait to see the next episode.
EDIT: Can I just say... that intro was so Game of Thrones.
I'm not liking the redemption arc for that one dude.
That's like, one of the best episodes I've seen in anime of all time...
10/10 is not enough to rate this one.
If people are confused that Kenny was actually a pedophile, then the writers and/or director of the episode made a poor job... 'cause it didn't translate. It was like an afterthought.
This was so much better than episode one.
Snoozed on the first part of the episode, but I don't know if it deserves a good rating just because of a super romantic, cute, heartwarming ending with good music. That's just cheating.
Hindi ako kinilig.
It lacked a certain 'oomph' to it, unlike some of the romantic shows I've watched. And even if I don't compare the show to others, this show is starting off as a classic story with little changes to suit and relate to the gay community. We'll see in the next episodes if I'll continue watching the show or drop it.
That's one of the worst ways to end a season.
Betrayal and Karma should be the name of this episode.
I am so mad with his friends. Why didn't anyone say anything???
Oh god. I wish they don't make a season 2 even if they ended it like this.
I don't want some supernatural shit show.
This episode was beyond crazy. I mean, starting from their escape from the auditorium, which I would say's one of the most creative things I've seen. There's cringe scenes I must admit like On-jo's dad and Cheong-san's mom bumping to each other while the science teacher was poetically narrating in the back, but I can look past that. Cheong-san's sacrifice and his final battle with Gwi-nam was definitely expected. It took me eleven episodes to appreciate the sets for this whole zombie series. I think they were really thought out thoroughly. The soldiers' actions were I think logical and realistic (even the Martial Law general's suicide after his order).
There's so many good things that happened this episode that I really enjoyed, but this plot armor on that bad kid just ruined this whole shit for me.
The amount of anger I felt... cannot be explained... I might as well be a zombie right now.
I like Korea's zombies -- FX and acting-wise. I hope it gets better because the reason for this outbreak seems weak.
I mean, a fucking rat did that?
That kiss totally caught me off-guard.
For some reason, this first episode of season 2 failed to hook me into watching the rest of the season.
Is it just me, or was that ending a little bit forced and overdramatic?
It hurts to see their relationships get ruined because of business politics.
"Pain is the most innate part of the human experience I can think of.Pain is the most innate part of the human experience I can think of."
I think it's kind of cool that we get to see what their life was before the Michelle incident. With this episode, we get to see that he was really "that" person for everyone. I just didn't expect him to be a real predator.
Alex snapping on her child like that is the best thing that has ever happened in this episode.

This show is doing a great job with ending each episode. There's always a 'climax' to each episode that makes you sit at the edge of your chair. Alex and Bradley are so unpredictable with their moves, that it makes the story so interesting. In a world that is driven by sticking to the script and following the rules, these two enigmas are definitely the stars of this show.
Behind The Scenes Television Drama... literally.
