Veronica Mars: 4x08 Years, Continents, Bloodshed

It was a great season, and a pretty good final episode. The twist back to the actual bomber is surprising, and the shocking event that everyone is so mad about is done well. Grow up, crybabies.

What a lovely way to end the show. I thought this was a truly amazing way to end it, especially the last couple of minutes and bringing everyone back. Really enjoyed this program with such fabulous actors. 8 year of familiar humour (touch of joy), a peculiar family.

Ps. The episode ends with a New Orleans style Second Line after the "funeral" complete with some black & gold umbrellas.

*Amazing episode building up to the finale.*

I cried, I felt joy. (My father is equal to Pops)
The performances been better, the story line. The twins, looking back on their evolution, my heart is full. I can't wait to see how this ends.

Trivia

Goofs
When Rainbow is going over Diane's university choices, they dismiss Jack's suggestion that he just apply to the same ones with Diane suggesting he apply to community colleges near her choices, a concept Jack agrees to. Then when Rainbow tentatively suggests they could go to different schools, they treat this idea as ridiculous. However, Diane's previous suggestion actually already would be different schools.

This episode makes me cry a lot, Why does a beautiful love relationship have to end?
For a comedy, this episode was super dark and dramatic.
People rating this episode one star is absolutely madness. I get that you watch this show to have fun, laugh, if you want drama you pick other shows, but you can't deny this was executed to perfection. Beautiful cinematography and real issues that every couple has dealt with. C'est la vie!

~~ The episode's story, which deals with a family crisis when Bow (Tracee Ellis Ross) is diagnosed with preeclampsia and has to undergo an emergency c-section to deliver their sixth child eight weeks prematurely, is taken directly from creator Kenya Barris' own life. Last year, his wife Bow gave birth to their sixth child prematurely after being diagnosed with preeclampsia, a condition which causes potentially life-threateningly high blood pressure. ~~

Beautiful episode!!

Persona: The Dark Truth Behind Personality Tests

How personality shapes our society.*

It makes me profoundly happy that this documentary could be backed by a large media company.

Nothing but the truth in this documentary.

It's a look at the shockingly pathological society we have become and the problems we will face if we continue to live as though jobs should only be awarded by merit in a bourgeois society.

Thanks very much. (Peace for kyle's Family)

Virus

*African Bum Disease.*
Yep, pretty similar to Outbreak, but it does a fairly good job.
The usual American TVM stuff; naff clichés, overacting, lots of hairsprays, the usual faces, a happy ending and a soft picture finish.
The best bit is when Sheridan whacks fatty doctor round the chops with a spade - made me laugh out loud...
The plot isn't bad too, which rises this above the normal 2/3/4's that year average gets. But not that much!

== It reminds me of this Covid pandemic that has not yet been completely eradicated globally. 2019-202x ==

The Bonfire of the Vanities

In 2022, this film still holds up with its all-star cast and strong story line. But, even more reason to watch it today is to measure how our society hasn't held up as well with all its political name-calling and online bullying that has pushed personal honor and integrity to one side. Just saying.

Perhaps it can be a shiny mirror to help us decide how and where we want to make shifts in our lives to "regain our soul"-- pulling from the last lines of the film--once again.

M’y score 7/10.

Paris, Wine & Romance

Beautiful, beautiful, film... For those who love the romantic genre (competing ethical values and the importance of winning on equal terms, the importance of family) it reinforces the idea that dreams are pursued and what is done. That can be achieved by achieving the goals, it also contains some history and basic information about Paris.

Frasier: 10x08 Rooms With a View (2)

This is a very touching episode. I cried many times when I was watching it, especially the part when Niles called Daphne's name over and over again. The emotions are warms and genuine. I also really liked the little pieces of recollections of past hospital scenes. A really heart-warming episode.

Trivia
It won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Multi-Camera Picture Editing for a Series.

11M: Terror in Madrid

Watching the documentary, I could not imagine the magnitude of what happened on that date when social networks did not yet exist, only text messages. Wars do not lead to anything, only to cause pain to the soul of the people affected, to their family and friends, to an entire people, to a country.

When discussing the possibility of a live-in health care worker, Martin suggests the room across from his, Frasier's study, for her to stay. In later episodes, Martin's room is shown to be on the same side of the flat as Frasiers, whereas Daphne's is on the opposite side past the kitchen.

CSI: NY: 8x01 Indelible

*Looking back-looking forward*

I can still remember exactly where I was when I heard what happened on September 11, 2001, as I'm sure most of us can. Watching the news unfold in total disbelief and horror. The emotions still run deep.

I am watching this episode a few days after the 911 remembrance in 2021. The world is in the biggest mess it has been in since that time. Covid-19 has changed everything. Once again, things are so surreal that no one really knows what to do. The seemingly impossible has happened again. A virus has taken over. There is political unrest and rioting in the streets. People are dying and there seems no certain relief or answers in sight. Just shock and searching for hope.

I wish so much that we could all come together as we did then. After 911 people set aside differences and reached towards each other for healing. That has not happened as of yet during these troubled times. Hopefully it will soon.

Alternate Endings: Six New Ways to Die in America

Since I was 19 years old, as a result of medical negligence, I was prostrate, I also have achondroplasia, which leads me to have my arms short which, I cannot be a normal paraplegic, I have already been with this for 14 years, I co-depend on my mother of which I am very grateful. My country, Chile, is still conservative, little by little, it has been changing but they prefer to give importance to the abortion law than to euthanasia. Sometimes I wonder when my mother dies what will become of me?

*Truly Exceptional.*

May I start this off by saying that I'm astonished at the extremely unfair negative, even 'mixed' reviews the film has gotten so far... The film is not even remotely close to being average, it's far, far, beyond magnificent.

By now you probably know the synopsis, so I'll add for those who haven't seen the film that it's visually stunning, the acting is superb (special mention to phenomenal newcomer Sunny Pawar, who plays 5 year old Saroo) and the story is so gripping and moving, that there wasn't a dry eye in the house when the film reached it's emotional climax.

I've been thinking about this film since I saw it, there's drama, mystery, romance, a whirlwind of emotions throughout the 2 hours - in the best way possible.

My score 8/10.

Michael

*Easily enjoyable.*

Wow, I think the overall average rating of this film on this site is incredibly low. There's really no reason to dislike this film. "Michael" is a simple, but fairly original, and easily enjoyable romantic comedy. The plot involves a group of reporters/experts going to examine the mysterious appearance of an angel (John Travolta) in the midwest. The angel proves to be less saintly and more worldly than we would expect, and that's what makes it entertaining. His interest in women and the Beatles takes a new spin on the angel thing. The romantic side of this film involves Michael the angel trying to get Andie MacDowell and William Hurt together. The two of them may not have the all-time greatest on-screen chemistry, but they certainly have enough to make it work well. Everyone who has rated this film so low (a 5.4??), come on! The film is not that bad. In fact, I found it quite funny and memorable.
Sure, it's not the best thing you'll ever see, but it's still good. This is a film I feel has been remarkably underrated. It's fun, romantic, and recommended by me.

Score 7/10.

I found all of it a jewel, the script, the direction, the superb performance of Ethan Hawke (and the other actors), the photography, the firm and fair rhythm, the sobriety, EVERYTHING.

The choice of the 4:3 format has been a success. It was like seeing caged lives. The missing sides have been an important part of the movie.

~~ There's no better way to end this series. It was so emotional and amazing. Sheldon's acceptance brought tears in my eyes. Thank you so much for all the people who made this show possible and such a wonderful cast. It's not an easy to carry the show for 12 years. They have done an amazing job. I am going to miss everyone of the gang. The most important part of the show is ending. You need to give a satisfying ending. It's an end of an era. They didn't miss anyone. All the characters had their moments in the finale. Thank you so much The Big Bang Theory team for all the memories and laughter. ~~
