oh wow these men SUCK
2/2 on season finales!
I just wish Janine and Gregory got together already ugh. Don’t get me wrong I loved the development that we got in this episode, but the way Gregory looked so hurt pained me sososo much:( I do gotta say that the friendship that has been developing between Gregory and Jacob (especially in this episode) has been so satisfying, it was so heartwarming when Jacob went in for a “bro-hug” just for them to end up actually hugging each other properly
The way that mom talked to Janine pissed me off so bad, but I’m so glad she had a support system behind her<3 also Gregory’s speech was wonderful
This is one of the funniest and strongest episodes of the season! Definitely one of the best for Jacob as well, he was cracking me up from start to finish.
The individual tiles on the mural really got to me, these kids are precious
GOD IT FINALLY HAPPENED N THE SETTING WAS SO PERFECT, THAT FLOWER CLASSROOM WAS INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL
Okay, I really enjoyed this Ava and Jacob plot!
I love when Ava is more than just her jokes w her occasional serious moments
FINALLY GREGORY N JANINE GETTING IT ON A BIT BUT OFC IT HAD TO BE CUT SHORT
“The kindergarten bathroom may be used in emergencies.”
“Oh, thank goodness.”
“I meant the kids.”
“I’m a kid at heart.”
i love Mr. Johnson
This episode was miles better than any other prior episode! I loved how Gregory and Barbara tried their best to make everything better for the kids, especially the way they tried to make the school as wheelchair accessible as possible. Jacob too. Seeing him sign with that one new girl was endearing. Then, in the midst of all the chaos in Janine’s life, Gregory is the only one to notice that she parted her hair in a different way. What a precious episode.
I’m really enjoying this show! It makes for a very easy binge. My favorite characters so far are Gregory and Barbara, but I love seeing Janine grow like she did in this episode. The ending also had me tearing up a bit, didn’t know I would get emotional so quickly.
hol up is this finally the ep that makes me like ava
To me, this was the perfect ending to an amazing season! We got to be back in that stressful kitchen and feel all of the emotions of their opening night. I think we all knew that the fridge issue would have a central role in the finale, but I don’t think any of us expected it to play out this way. As much as I felt for Carmy, I think this sort of downfall of his was inevitable. Regretfully, he has been quite neglectful towards Syd, the crew and the restaurant prior to this episode and I think him getting locked inside the fridge and them managing fine without him pushed Carmy to come to terms with certain choices he’s made this season and have a new sort of self-awareness. In the heat of it all, sadly, he also ruins his relationship with Claire. On the other hand, I very much enjoyed watching Ritchie fall into THE role that was made for him and I hope going forward that they stick with him staying in that position as it suits him very much! He’s one of the characters that I have come to like a lot this season, so I’m very glad and satisfied with the character development that they’ve given him.
Looking forward to getting a third season! I’m hoping we get to know and see more of Carmy’s mom, Deedee, as her scene in this episode made me very intrigued on who she is as a person and also made me want to understand her thought process. As well as Ebra since he was very absent this season. I also hope that Marcus pulls through the death of his mom as we’ve seen that she was very important to him! It was gut wrenching to see all the missed calls on his phone right before the episode ended. I’m very curious as to how this will impact his character, his role in the kitchen and his artistry as well as the progress that he has managed to make since the first time we saw him.
Prior to this I couldn’t really have imagined me liking a Richie-centered episode since he is(/was) probably my least favorite character, but wow did they prove me wrong. He’s more relatable than you’d think. There was something in his conversation with Terry that really got to me.
Two words: holy dysfunctional!
I don’t think I’ve ever seen another piece of media depict family dysfunction (at Christmas) as well as this right here. By the end of the episode I feel just as stressed as they must’ve felt.
This episode filled in some of the blanks that we’ve had since the first episode of the first season and it does so with an amazing delivery from everyone. What a great series this is!
Absolutely infuriating to see how the police handled Kwame’s situation without any sense of care or delicacy. The questions, leaving him alone, not caring if he was okay… he deserves to have a proper support system :(
Oh this episode truly hurt my heart:(
im never going to recover from this
IM SO DEVASTATED I miss when this show was just about silly little Wuxian learning the Lan clan rules:(
”Lan Zhan, if I finally have to fight with them, I’d prefer to fight with you. If I am doomed to death, at least, I could be killed by you. That would be worth it.”
Pleaseeeee my heart :broken_heart:
i loved s6 and this finale destroyed me
holy hell what an opening scene
I liked this ep until the last scene…
I can’t believe it’s actually over, gonna miss it terribly.
Funniest episode in the whole season.
magnificent monologue at the beginning, cant wait for s2!
this ep sucked ass, the only thing i appreciated was how much sense Baird made
Ayanokoji is a mf BEAST!!
