I honestly thought this show would be awful and only watched the first episode out of curiosity. I thought there was no way this show could be good. Turns out I was wrong. It was actually really good, not great, but really good. I'm an old school Marvel fan so I'm really against the modern day Wolverine is the good guy leader that has been taking place. Wolverine is a classic anti hero, a rogue, a killer, a lone hunter. That said I was able to accept this kinder, gentler Wolverine as the teams leader and really enjoyed how the season played out. I'd say this is worth a watch for any die-hard X-Men fan.
I was a kid when the first movie came out, a movie that has not aged well not because of it's technology but because of it's story telling. The sequel was a big disappointment because it addressed bringing the art style of the original to the modern world but made the story worse. The first episode alone far exceeded my expectations as well as the episodes that followed. The casting, voice direction, story and dialog are well executed and you can tell that the people running this show really care about it. I look forward to watching this show with my son once he's old enough :)
