Never enough of Baki Hanma and all the other fighters, they genuinely keep you on the edge of your seat you don't know what to expect next.

Normally I wouldn't recommend to watch a movie this terrible, but this a different kind of terrible. If you're a filmmaker you should definetly watch it, because you can easily understand what went wrong with it, and learn from its mistakes. I dind't like anything, from the acting, to the camera movement, the colour grading, the cinematography, the plot, the character arc, not to mention the ending. A regular watcher can't tell what this film is about once it's finished, it's just a normal story. Which is totally fine, not every movie should carry a deeper meaning in it. And a story as such should aim to engage with the audience in an emotional way. Which is the worst part about this movie. It's uncomfortable half of the time, and i wouldn't want to be in it. The pacing was the only thing that was okay and that sustained my attention, other than my interest in understanding why it was so terrible watching it.

@lrenz Indeed its not for the regular watcher,and if you saw nothing but more superficial then adolescent dramas maybe youre a regular watcher :D. THe colour grading and the rest i think its subjective, but if you see no meaning in this movie maybe you should watch it more carefully.

....Well... This is awful... Really, really bad.... I saw only the pilot, so fingers crossed they remove all the cliché bullshit, not to mention the completely derogatory sexism masquerading as 'girl power' and these characters are less than two dimensional.
And please, stop referencing superman as 'him' or 'he'... From the sounds of 'him', 'he's' an assholeloading replies
@deathnetworks just starting watching man and noticed the cliché. Maybe they say he or him cuz of copyright. I dunno but still i only watched the pilot and sure as hell its not a grade "1" show.

If you're looking for an action and "turn brain off now" film, just don't watch it and spare us the 6-7 hearts review.
I for one, am very tired from 500$m crap like Indi Day and Marvel's poop. So I was very excited to watch this one.
This one is more like Spielberg's Encounters from the Third Kind. It's more about the characters in the film and the amazing journey they go through. It's mostly about the human behavior that will make you think.
While it's not an End of the World aliens movie like Battle: Los Angeles, it still offers great amount of military presence and plenty of stuff that's going on.
So if you actually want to care about an intelligent movie and use your head - go. Otherwise, go watch an X men.
Highly recommended for some audience 10/10.
2-feb-2017 edit: Just came out on Bluray and I saw it again. Definitely keeping my rating.
Watching again at July-2023, excited towards Dune II : Excellent. Excellent film. So called plot-holes listed here are negligible when the overall product is really thoughtful and masterfully crafted.loading replies
@stormsm i gave it a 5 because i thought much of the scenes were unnecessary. Before i watch i thought the idea of this movie was quite interesting and i still think its very interesting. I just think they didnt do enough with this idea
