Ambitious…. But messy.
There is some good stuff here but also some things that just didn’t work. At times the action looked phenomenal, at other times I couldn’t follow what was happening with the shakey cam and the way some of it was cut. I liked the story and exploring the past. The training break between 2nd and 3rd act was the weakest part of the movie. Also felt little unsatisfying with the way it wraps. I think Dev showed some good traits though and will definitely check out whatever he does next. Shout out to Shantel Copley, he’s great as always!
For a movie about writers, this sure does have a great script! Made me laugh many times and the acting across the board was really good. Well definitely rewatch when it becomes avalible digitally.
For all the hype, this movie becomes
A snooze fest and absolutely dumb from the halfway point.
"When you take on the responsibility, great power will come.”
If you were here to see Sydney Sweeney she’s in a spidey suite for 25 seconds of the movie. This movie is goofy. The Amazon spider people had me dying laughing. The dialogue is poor, not as poor as Sony is to be making this garbage. No explanation other than for the trailers to have villain look like spiderman. The action is lame, but atleast how awful the third act set piece looks made it slightly entertaining. I’m begging you Sony please stop making these. I’m sure Kraven will be just fine…..
Fight scenes were awesome, the plot..... absolutely was not.
Judging this as a kids movie, I thought this was pretty great. The animation is beautiful, the voice work was solid, and even cracked a few laughs.
This is a well made movie, let down with a script with not enough pizazz. Sydney Sweeney is great here and the story is interesting and fucked up. A stronger script could of elevated this into being something rememberable. Worth a watch but nothing to ride home about.
Wow, that was even better on rewatch and boy am I pumped for Part 2!
:telephone_receiver: Creepy thriller with a few solid jump scares. Great performance from Ethan Hawke and more impressive is how good all the kids were! Definitely check this out
After the episode ended all I felt is….do we really need this.
What a cash grab. Retelling the end of the season for an hour long and then there’s like 40 mins of new material and about 5 of it that merits being on the big screen.
Paul Dani is electrifying as the riddler
Cool concept, mediocre to bad execution. Sam Worthington is solid and MGK is good at times, but definitely has a few rough scenes. The rest of the cast can’t act for shit. The plot is also extremely predictable and never feels grand or exciting. The score is terrible. I did think the cinematography and sets look pretty good. At the end of the day pretty forgettable.
Aside from the acting from the lead this felt like a student film. Surprised to see this land an Oscar nomination. It’s tragic and tough subject matter, but “the after” doesn’t really give much back.
One of the worst rom coms, I’ve seen. Painfully boring, predictable, and corny. The musical score is paint by the numbers cheese when it comes to romance and this movie takes it self way to serious.
That mechanic definitely has had sex with a Jawa, probably the droids too.
The concept is so unique, that makes the entire film very watchable and solid.
This is how the horrible impractical jokers movie should of been made
I loved the atomosphere of this movie. It feels dirty in every regard. The violence is shocking and that kept me on the edge of my seat. Kristen Stewart has come an extremely long way with her acting abilities. Thought she was fantastic as Lou. The rest of the cast are also great. The score was noticeable and makes me want to give it a relisten. My holdup and only problem with the movie is the ending. I didn’t really like the stylistic choices that were made here and this isn’t a movie that gives a lot of closure. I am going to see when it comes out digitally that on a second viewing the movie will jive better with me.
Epic on every scale. The action, the cinematography, the acting, the score, and just about everything else was amazing in this movie. The set piece when Fremen were destroying spice machinery was one of my favorite scenes. I really enjoyed this, but need to give it a rewatch to see if this grows on me a little more t like the first one did. I missed some dialogue here and there and also with this being as dense as it was, it was a lot to take in. I am very excited to see more from this universe.
I have to apologize to my fiance after dragging her to drive away dolls and then this. I might lose my right to take her to the movies. All I can say is the creepy meat puppets are cool, but this film is pretty dumb. Lose plot and uninteresting characters drag this movie down long before the third act delivers the death blow. Little weary of IFC movies currently
Feel like this didn’t connect for me as much as it did everyone else. I thought that the animation was gorgeous. I ended up seeing the English dub and I thought it was OK. Some audio performances were noticeably bad at times. Robert Patterson was really good though and I can’t believe it was him. I thought that the film was just a little confusing to me and I struggled to grasp all the grandiose ideology that was going on, it also felt a little boring at times but not to a point where I was taking out of it. Maybe on a rewatch will help it click more.
As someone who doesn’t watch a lot of wrestling this was very interesting and tragic story I’ve never heard of. Fantastic performance by Zac Efron. Man was daddy a dick.
Nowhere near as funny as the last special. This feels very 1 trick pony and the premise, even though a good message, doesn’t lend to a lot of laughs.
Just like Priscilla…. I too felt trapped at Graceland. Inside this boring movie. The score is terrible. The story feels so empty and just jumps from scene to scene from their relationship. It also rushes an ending in a movie that dragged on and on. Cailee Spaeny was good and that’s about it.i hate when biopics on artist do movies with out the artists music in it.
For anyone that’s a dog owner this will be almost impossible not to chuckle at. If you go into this with a few to drink this is a fun time with some really funny moments. Worth watching but not necessarily in theaters
Such a likeable cast and all around heartfelt, funny, good vibes show! I would not be mad if they made more of these
Michael Myers has a that’s so raven moment
Jake Gyllenhaal’s 150% effort made even the terrible Michael Bay dialogue fun. Without him this movie would be a fraction of this score.
Let’s rip the band-aid off… this is terrible
