Two good things about this movie. Malek’s performance as Freddy, and the final Live Aid performance (except for the terrible CGI crowd).
This movie just has no direction. What was the point? It felt like someone telling a story and joining the key events with “and then this happened.... and then this happend... and finally, this happened”.
And don’t get me started about the fact the main love story in the movie was a heterosexual one, about the life of a well known gay man.
This movie had so much potential, given Freddy’s amazing life. Yet they serve this up. Really didn’t enjoy this.
Dreadful acting, predictable story, I wish they all drowned.
I don't know what they were thinking with this episode; either way, the writers screwed up badly. too many inconsistencies, contradictions, and paradoxes occurring. they could explain most of them away, but there were main points in the episodes plot that will always undermine any framed context from this point on. it was dissappointing from the moment it began. out of all the bottle episodes i've ever seen, this was one of the worst. i genuinely hope they don't run this show in to the ground because i do enjoy it. it was different and refreshing.
Please don't suck, please don't suck, please don't suck...
