This is one of the good old classics that will keep you glued to the couch from the start to the credits. 30 years ago, people still knew how to create good suspense in movies. As well good actors who are still in showbizz decades later. Good entertainment 7/10
ok i like to see Sarah Butler but in general this movie is a predictable cliche with few real dynamic and wow moments °!°
unfortunately the German dub is given in so many stupid dialogues, like...
She: "I always wanted an all-white kitchen."
He: "Yes, it's very artistic. You have a good eye for design, Laura!"
...and so on - omg °!°
that drives me nuts and crash my mood...
David Winning almost directed flicks about Romance, Brides, Dreams and Dating... so that explains a lot. sometimes he has ventured into the horror or drama genre, but mostly low budget productions and unspectacular flicks... but fair at the end [6/10]

I just can't even begin to understand how movie makers think they have produced a good movie.
The onboard instruments looked even worse than the Atari or Commodore computer screens in the 90s. The CGI is so incredibly poorly realized! the spaceships fly at warp speed, but the computer voice sounds as cheap as the first 4-bit learning devices for toddlers came on the market in the 80s and the alien looked like a paint-ball player in a fetish suit with a disaster mask!
I'm laughing my ass off, really people, don't do this to yourself!!!
Then repeatedly this shaky camera work with close-ups for creating an exciting POV!
All just annoying, inferior and pointless from start to finish!

I saw the movie today for the fifth or sixth time since it was first shown over 23 years ago and it still touches me as it did then!
I not only "liked" it, but also kept increasing my rating one by one each time. I love watching Robert De Niro!
The movie is a real 10/10 because it has strong characters with very good actors, emotions paired with iron will, pride, honor, courage and apartheid. It is based on a true story from the 60s and actually entertains the audience for the full 2 hours --> Mega!!!
Garbage - just garbage... too much silly babbling, grotty actors, as well as stupid shouting and actions of brainwashed country bumpkins! don't waste your life time! [meh]
a wonderfully confusing story with well-known German actors who couldn't be more different as character actors. Some plot twists happens and it's amusing to see how everything unravels until the half-happy ending.

This movie is really very amusing from beginning to end and reminds me a bit of "Prada" in terms of style. Marisa has always been a great actress, but Camila surprised me very pleasantly! A clear recommendation for anyone looking for nice entertainment. Top!

skip the first 45 min and you'll missing nothing of the main part ... only to know a team boards a ship that has been lost since 25y. But don't expect too much, it's a low budget flick with mostly silly conversation and a mediocre cast... and of course not really horror °!° meh

if you are a person who carry "situation comedy" in your body and can laugh about it - that will be quite nicely entertained.
of course, some scenes are exaggerated and overall not the "non-plus-ultra", but it should not be... but entertain and THAT makes it good!
JLo is pretty sexy regarding her age - compliments! ...and acting she delivers authentically!
Jennifer Coolidge is really overrated here and didn't steal JLo's show at all... she's just comically good as always in all her slapstick movies... that's all.
I think Callie Hernandez plays well, with funny facial expressions and Lenny Kravitz is c()()L – I like the plot-twist :-)

I don't know why there are always so many sourpusses who have to put down a movie as if they were a book author, film director or film critic themselves. Why do they always want to find the perfect storyline when a movie just wants to entertain you from beyond the grave? India proves herself here with her then 21 years as a perfect character actress. I think the entertainment value was good. [7/10]

The movie turns out to be worth seeing, even if it doesn't follow up on the brilliant start of the CGI until a few more scenes. It's not just some silly teenage story, but conveys a deeper message about how we treat our planet °!°
But what makes me very angry though is due fact how we human approach alien life with a consequent defensiveness !!
Furthermore, the extremely aggressive violence of the Russians in general and in particular has driven me into hatred !!
They have once again shown their bitter dark image of the people !!! °!°
Wesley in a rather unusual role at the time, but still a good character cast! In the interplay with Nastassja an eye-catcher and imo a surprisingly resolute ending.

don't be put off by the mediocre comments, it's an entertaining movie with a good cast. Along the way, a relationship is gradually built between father and daughter, which is noticeably pleasing. Vince consistently plays the gangster father with all harshness and gentleness. Hailee is convincing in character and plays the lead role in Bumblebee two years later. [7/10]
An elder solid drama with the marvellous Connie Nielsen. The beginning seems a bit sluggish but then through the tension goes on and final in an unpredictable plot twist... yeah! [7/10]
