Unbelievably unsatisfying as a season finale and as a season on it's own. How can you screw up so bad when you have:
A great story, a tremendous lead actor and a decent cast of actors overall. Putting Geralt out of commission for far too much time and focussing on Ciri and Yennefer was a massive mistake.
There are only two right decisions. Cancel the show or change the showrunner. They straight up murdered something that had so much potential.
Destroyed by the arrogance and wokeness of Lauren Schmidt Hissrich. Replacing the brilliant writing in the source material with immature sloppy nonsense. Disrespecting all the people who love the franchise and made it great.
On the surface this film is about a group of people who have been labelled “villains”, working together to save the world. But really, this film is about one man and one man alone, he isn’t strong, but yet he defies all odds and sacrifices his life to save his friends. His only power is his bravery, he is the driver of the van and the main character of this film, Milton.
I really didn't like the directing here. It was absolutely unnecessary to watch the same scenes 2 or 3 times. I like how they used Anya's indian origin for her clothes and make up. Maybes it's just me, but when I saw her in that outfit and hairstyle, she resembled an indian and it suited her very well.
Shame that the main punchline of this episode is Graham Linehan's (at the time) thinly veiled transphobia
Change things up, fine, ok, but what happened to proper scene structure? Dizzying jump cuts in this and episode six look like a chop mix rush job, and it is truly disappointing. The fight choreography has been nice, but they don't make up for bad storytelling - not showing, nor telling how characters and factions united and reunited.
4/10 - for the hope shattered.
If you have watched Him and Her versions forget about this one. Nothing new and scenes are badly put together. Too many sudden cuts, and changes of scenes and moods, no explanations. If you wonder which scenes are used that are in both movies, here it goes, class- from Him, car- Him, apartment- Her, ending- Him.
Even if you haven't watched first two, skip Them, you really don't need it, and instead watch Him and then Her. I think it would feel wrong to watch first Her and then Him.
And yes, as others here have said, this version is boring, but I have enjoyed Him + Her.
This was a wild ride from start to finish. I loved every minute of this (even if it leaves with some questions like "I need to know!!")
Truly one of the greatest television shows ever made. Aaron Sorkin and Thomas Schlame are absolute geniuses. The acting is superb as well. A must watch show.
Un de mes série préférées.
Intelligente sans être prétentieuse.
Un bijou
