I've only watched two episodes & this is really amazing writing. I've enjoyed Black Mirror but this takes it to another level of edginess - there's no doubt Philip K Dick is part of Charlie Brooker's inspiration.

decided it was finally time to watch this again and I didn’t realize that so much happens and sets the tone for the entire show. I am very intrigued to watch Bernard in particular in retrospect!
lol - was this episode actually on Japanese network TV in 1990? I find it somewhat fascinating how blatant nudity is in this episode!
I'm one of those peeps who watched this too early, after season 1. I think I must have lacked so much context that 7 years later, after watching the rest of BB, this movie is, not surprisingly, more enjoyable with all the context and character development that has taken place.
I agree with others that this is more of an epilogue and it brings closure to Jesse and his future.
Can't help but wonder what more others were expecting when so many characters have been killed off?!
ok first I agree, some of the best TV in history - was able to sustain its pace and tie up loose ends to feel complete. Though I’m really surprised nobody mentioned the chances they would never check his trunk for guns, bomb, an accomplice (or anything!) is so near slim - that was definitely quite unbelievable given the stakes Other than that, I very much glad I picked up this series 6 years later after stopping a third through Season 2 - I don’t think it’s because I didn’t enjoy it - I think I just wanted to give later seasons my undivided attention the whole series deserves!
kinda sad there's only 1 episode left. looking forward to it & trying to throttle my expectations of the grand finale!
witnessing Jesse's fear without seeing how he was tortured was very disturbing - almost worse not knowing what had to happen & having to imagine what would cause him to be that fearful. and then to witness him being enslaved to the lab with chains & the restricted movement of the overhead bar worse than "prison" is downright ironic & sad!
unbelievable this got approved on Netflix w the DP coaching scene!
ugh- time im never going to get back. the lack of chemistry just made it hard to believe they would be get that pissed off at each other in the heat of the moment. I really really wanted to like this series but if you've got an all out shootout, don't you think someone would call the cops in NYC? esp the neighbor? their therapist clearly needed to do MDMA assisted therapy from the get go!
that scene when Hank gets back in the car. That look in Marie's eyes - she's become Hank - absolutely obsessed w bringing down Heisenberg.
this season is definitely a little slow. now that Tozawa is back in the house, things should start getting interesting! I practically feel like I have to rewatch S1 to remember the Misaki's backstory!

well that was a lot of steam that's been wanting to get loose - tension had been building up for so long!
that is one lonely place & pile of trash Jesse got in return - this can't end well at all without going back to rehab!
well they broke that pact fast! this is just lazy writing - you think they'd at least work up towards it over a few episodes! yes, he foreshadowed a "kiss" after a bad day made you forget everything. they would have more realistically teased each other about the "dog kiss" to create some tension & a few laughs & THEN maybe discover something there. perhaps I've just read Jane wrong but her asking for a kiss given how adamant she was their relationship is just "business" just that morning didn't feel in character. (what little has been developed in two episodes!)
the writing in this show is absolutely phenomenal. I was worried with how S2 ended (it was a let down for me - I feel it should have ended w the S3E1 episode) - season 3 more than made up for any concerns - totally gripped me til the end and what a way to smack it to you - you could absolutely feel for Jesse - I was in a pool of tears! :sob: and for those who haven’t watched S4, we “technically” don’t know if Gale is indeed dead or if Jesse cracked under pressure. while most likely he followed through - this is a great way to leave that teensy little bit of ambiguity to keep ya on your toes til the next season! . absolute perfection!
oh boy can't wait to see what Pinkman has up his sleeve! what a plot twist!
spraying those pink lagoons around the fields next to them definitely made me want to puke let alone the idea of it being 30 feet outside your back kitchen door - I can't imagine the stench on a day to day basis :face_vomiting:
yeay - good recovery from what I thought was a complete let down of a finale from S2 - in fact, I think this episode would have made for a great finale closing loops on the plane accident, tension w the wife & rehab thus setting the stage for the "new" villains coming in for S3! . this is such an amazing show - dunno how I managed to put it down for years!
whoa this comes as a surprise! loved S1 & fingers crossed this show was high enough on the HBO exec radar to ensure S2 doesn't disappoint!
nice. this episode is a great recovery to the season - it was seriously starting to drag the last few episodes!
absolutely love when David finds new inspiration jumping into a life so different from his own - like a new form of empathy - it makes him so alive & full of creativity again! and then when he tries to communicate to Cliff what he notices is missing & it gets thrown in his face & possessiveness drives the show, he goes to such extreme just to get Cliff on the same playing field just so they could "talk" again. dark but brilliant!
what an unlikely love story! totally caught me off guard & absolutely brilliant. I loved the humor & the 70s throwback theme - great change of pace w all the dark overtones.
