I lost count of the times someone stepped into their path, or spoke to/at them. No way is Chika's mom satisfied with that wager result. They're on hiatus; the rest of the series from here must be someone's dream world.
That must've been Thomas Riker; Will wouldn't be so callous :joy:
They really did gloss over how Yuuhi's hair went to blond, huh? Is there such a thing as a temporary hair dye from dark to light? A wig would make more sense, but at any rate it wasn't shown; the color just abruptly changed between shots.
Still only one plane, eh, Joe? What happened to the bank loan for a second plane that was approved at the end of season 5, I wonder.

Maybe this season was just "too '90s" for me. A not-insignificant number of plot threads covered actions or attitudes that would be received very differently today, 30 years later.
Was that middling bit with Niles really worth throwing away the running gag of never seeing or hearing Morty?
This episode is structured like a recap/flashback show, but as far as I can tell the "flashbacks" (stories) were newly filmed. I don't get why it exists. None of it was terribly funny, either.
Carlton's nephew is played by Gilbert Gottfried, who has quite a few credits to his name but is perhaps most memorable to me (and other '90s kids) as the voice of Iago in Aladdin.
Chuck Coleman from The Wonder Years drove me nuts until I looked up Andy Berman's other credits. I couldn't place him, but knew I'd seen him in something else recently.
That has no bearing whatsoever on the fact that I hated the A plot and thought the B plot would've been more interesting as the episode's focus.
I see that "mid-season finale" means "clip show" for this series.

Not sure what about the show had me holding back its episode ratings, but clearly I was not into something about large parts of this season. Maybe the formula getting old?
The almighty clip show. Ho hum.

So much Alex drama. It's already boring 3 episodes into the season, but it just keeps going.
I am so tired of Brian/Alex drama. It's surely not a bad episode; it just bored the heck out of me.

Sure, it isn't common for a sitcom like this to have a serious through-line of any kind—especially two decades ago—but boy did this season feel scattered. At some point the writers seemed to entirely forget that Raven and crew were still supposed to be in high school, only to suddenly remember that when an episode's central gag demanded it. And ultimately, the series ends without so much as a single line of dialogue about graduation. Kinda weird.
Hard to believe communicating back to Zenjiro given what happened to the rails behind them as they headed to Higashi-Agano, but whatever. Go with it? :joy:
Two episodes in, it's crystal clear that this is the style they're using: Vignettes inspired by the original four-panel comic. There's no real through-line to the story so far. Can't say it's my favorite storytelling style…
Good, but why is there basically a fraternity in Raven's high school? And why is Eddie suddenly trying to join it a few weeks before the end of their senior year?
I am not sure if I ever saw this one. I definitely did see the Suite Life episode it ties into, but don't remember much. It's almost tempting to go watch the other parts of the crossover event, but that would require watching two other series out of sequence… :scream:

The setup is pretty absurd, bordering on technophobia (or a parody of it). But by the end, the title card "30 stops to Ikebukuro" makes it clear that this could be an interesting "journey" series. If nothing else, "cute girls driving a train" should be fun.
Some production order shenanigans going on here: Cory already asked Cindy to be his girlfriend, and she already said yes.

(How did that happen? I found this season less compelling than the previous, sure, but I didn't think my ratings were that low.)

I apparently started this show before developing the habit of rating every episode I watch, so this is the first season with a complete set of ratings to use for statistical calculations. Whoops?
Why does dialogue in this episode imply that Helen went to New York because Joe broke up with her? She left to pursue the cello, and he only moved on to someone new after not hearing anything from her over a period of several months.
Enabran Tain coaching Kevin in soccer :astonished:
