Why would J.J. be the unit chief? I mean, the best candidates--Hotch and Morgan--are gone, and Reid's had so much stuff happen the past couple seasons, and everyone else besides Garcia is new. But what about Rossi? I know he doesn't want to be chief, but he is a better candidate than J.J. since he's been at it longer.
Now THIS feels like a Criminal Minds episode. Not just the writing but the directing as well. Almost everything about this episode felt like classic Criminal Minds...
