FIRST THOUGHTS: I didn’t expect to love this show as much as I did - though with Iannucci at the helm, I shouldn’t have been surprised. Even as a work of science fiction, it’s incredibly honest (and deeply pessimistic) about human nature and behavior in some very funny and deeply disturbing ways. Even though it was made before the pandemic, there are some incredibly prescient elements that make this quite the cathartic watch. The cast is fantastic, the world-building is excellent and subtle, and the social satire spot-on. I can’t wait for the next season.
