In hindsight, this was a lot better the second time around than the first time around. At first, the episode felt a bit bloated and unnecessary, but it actually gives both Dom and Darlene the closure that they need, even if it doesn't provide them with a "happy ending" by stereotypical storyline standards. There are some throughlines of character consistency throughout the episode that shows payback for elements of both Dom and Darlene's stories starting in Season 2, that were very pleasant to see brought up and then concluded in this episode, subtly and in their own way.
