Sleep Tight 2011

Twisted remedy for loneliness

A lonely, depressed and miserable man's search for happiness and meaning in life. He finds it in going around making other people miserable and sabotaging their happiness—not the best way to do it, buddy. Sleep Tight puts you in the shoes of the sociopathic stalker, describes you his meticulous procedure and narrates his thoughts. The edge-of-your-seat tension is so great that it tricks you into being stressed for both the protagonist and the antagonist—a surprising feat given you know just how evil he is. Luis Tosar gives a great performance, his character was so interesting to psycho analyse. The scene with his mother was so intense and troubling. Perfect pacing I was never bored. Some questionnable decision making from characters but it wasn't too off-putting. Single location setting is always great. Definitely a hidden gem.

A serious reminder that under the bed empty spaces are dangerous!
