It's already been three years sinse I watched this but I still vividly remember parts of it, which says something I think, sinse I usually forget everything in a week.

It's the same zombie plot you've seen a hundred times before but the appartment setting is what really pops out of the ordinary, makes it isolated and it's almost a one location movie (pandemic style). The main character is a bit one-dimensional but when Park Shin-hye comes in it brings new life into his character and into the movie. Their interactions are the highlight. Satisfying direction and pacing, good acting overall, nicely shot, zombie makeup looks great, when there's action it's thrilling and it has emotions. Some of the best zombie actors too, they're really into it. Good third act but I wasn't a fan of the ending.

It's not Train To Busan but #Alive still manages to feel refreshing in an ocean of similar content.
