She was very cool, in some ways she was a more obvious match for John but he was put with Jane. She was well cast as the perfect girl to make Jane jealous. Not really a spoiler but the comment was marked as such so I'll go with it. If someone is that sensitive to spoilers then they probably won't read the comments before watching.

Without doubt, this episode made me want to see more of Michaela Coel's Bev: She whirls from vulnerable to dangerous to puckishly charming so fast it made my head spin.
