I like when they call Bill Skarsgård's character Nic Cage
Everything was fine until that last bit. Adopted Henry hated his father but turned into him by doing what the alt father did to him, to someone else. (I think I said that right.) I heard season 2 is better?
I have SO MANY questions. This show just got more and more confusing.. what was that ending?
Hum? Hum? Hum? Hum? Hum? Hum?
Interesting show, but... i hope it's not going to be like another show i liked (only the first half of it) "Lost" (wink, wink), glacier pace, unraveling very, very slowly, big big big build up and only little sparks at the end.
after further review...... this show made no sense
hmmm lemme check again.. Nah still a BIG disappointment.. You know what? I won't even bother myself googling for an explanation.
nvm we're cool :)
This was the best show I have not understood ever.
The whole series was disappointing and without the Stephen King connection, there
would be no hype
now that was just sloppily executed
So I have my theories, others have theirs, and the writers/producers have theirs.
(Spoilers)
I felt like this episode was a cheap ending. I have thoughts about why Henry did what he did but the ambiguity is crap.
I should have known a series with JJ Abrams paired with some Terry O’Quinn would have the same answers as ‘Lost’ did.
As in, 2 questions answered and 200 new questions arise.
Seeing how the previous episode was, this ambiguity was out of place. Not to mention it made me hate Henry’s character a little.
He is upset that the inmates killed each other? Okay he probably doesn’t want anyone to get hurt but they were tossing rape threats at The Kid!
Also, he’s so high and mighty but after a hallucination in the woods he thinks it’s okay to cage a person in the dark, without sunlight, proper nourishment etc ?
And even if The Kid was an evil magnate the problem would have been solved if he went home. So let the man go home and problem solved!
There was a lot that I liked about this episode but more that I disliked. Mainly, it feels like a cheap ending. Also, it feels a bit like seeing an innocent person tortured. I know it’s a horror show but there were other options I felt would have been a better ending.
[5.2/10] My honest-to-god first thought when the credits rolled on this episode were “what the hell was that?”
Sigh. Well, at least the first season of Castle Rock died as it lived, with tons of rambling and screwing around, glacial pacing, and an almost complete lack of payoff. There’s some vague revelations here -- mostly that Henry killed his dad to save his mom, and some vague hints -- like that there really is something devilish or sinister in The Kid (and maybe in his/Henry’s father). There’s some minor thematic work about doing something evil to stop a greater evil.
But that’s all pretty thin broth for a plodding, dull, and occasionally nonsensical final hour for this season. The best you can say is that Castle Rock stayed true to form through it all. But this was just anticlimactic and not nearly as spiritual on intellectual as it seems to think.
Overall, this was a lot of wheel-spinning until an underwhelming conclusion with cheesy florid voiceover to take us out, which seems fitting for this sporadically brilliant but mostly patience-trying show.
pretty good buildup throughout the season, but boy did the finale suck
What a farce of a show. A waste of my time afac. Why was it even produced?
I was into this show for most of the season but the last few episodes lost me. I really don't completely understand what was suppose to be going on. Disappointing.
That end wasn’t a great way to leave the story. I hope these characters return. But I heard it will be an all new story. After answering nothing ?
Just make season 2 Jackie Torrence solving mysteries with the Shining and I’m good.
With a big long story with many questions JJ Abraham’s raised. JJ sucks at answering those questions. Watch Lost.

Basically out. Could care less for this season and this finale.
Only giving season 2 a shot because I like Misery.
