6x01 Minecraft's Ending, DECODED!

Season Premiere

6x01 Minecraft's Ending, DECODED!

  • 2016-01-16T20:00:00Z15m

When Minecraft first came out, players were confused about one thing...THE ENDING. Minecraft's ending is a 10-minute scroll of philosophical text that everyone either wrote off completely or LOVES to HATE. And I'll be honest, when I first saw it, I thought they were right. This weird, philosophical conversation/poem/mumbo-jumbo confused everyone and seemed all wrong for Minecraft, a game that technically is ENDLESS! But looking at it more closely, the ending of Minecraft hides an amazing story about the game, the universe, and how awesome WE are as gamers. After doing this episode, I'm a fan, and I think you will be, too.

UNDERTALE. You've asked for it. Literally, non-stop since the game was released. And at first, even I was a skeptic, but now I'm an Undertale believer, ESPECIALLY since I've uncovered the deep rooted connections between this game and one of my favorite games of all time: Earthbound. The secrets connecting Undertale to Earthbound run DEEP, so get ready to see Undertale (AND some of your favorite characters from Earthbound) as you've never seen them before.

I've found the missing link in the evolution of Ubisoft's shared universe - and it's Far Cry Primal! How does Takkar's powers of beast mastery and heightened tracking skills span the centuries to fit into the rest of the Ubisoft universe? I'm a gonna show you!

Street Fighter is loaded with interesting moves, and one of the coolest is Chun-Li's Spinning Bird Kick. I've literally wanted to do this episode for years. What does it really mean if those legs are capable of defying gravity? After analyzing the science behind this deadly attack, is it really as dangerous as you might expect? You Betcha!

It may have taken TWO YEARS, but I've finally put together an episode on everything Dating Sim games can teach you about getting a real-life date. And surprisingly, for as simple and pervy as games like HuniePop, Love Hina, and Pico Sim Date might be, they actually have a lot to teach us about how to get a real live date. So sit back, relax, and enjoy How To Get A Date...according to dating sims.

You just talked to...a GIRL! But what the heck do you do now? Dating sims have ALL the answers...or at least they have a few ideas, and the science of real world dating has the rest. Get ready to take study hard, then become a real world DATING MACHINE!

If you keep up with gaming news, then over the last two years, no doubt you've heard about the infamous Amiibo shortages, where Nintendo has failed to supply the US with enough Amiibo to meet the fan demand. But is it really a supply issue or does Nintendo have other plans? How are Europe and Japan able to have enough Amiibo but not the US? And Nintendo has historically had a pattern of creating shortages in the United States. Today, I'm looking at the economics of the Amiibo shortages to see what's really going on here.

Today, I'm getting a bit personal. Only four months into the new year and already 2016 has seen a ton of scandal on YouTube, but the biggest story of all focused around React World and the Fine Bros. As a friend of the Fines, it got me to really think about their situation, the React scandal, and how YouTube is changing. It's a weird time for YouTube and YouTube creators...and here are some of my thoughts. It was a very different, and very personal, episode for me to work on. I hope you like it.

Ever wanted to visit a stage from Super Smash Bros in real life? It might be more possible than you think - provided you aren't trying to visit final destination. I'm on the hunt to locate the lost stage in Super Smash Bros Melee and uncover it's real life location. After this episode, I'll be one step closer to realizing my dream of living in a video game.

It's one of the oldest and most infamous creepypastas out there -- that you killed your Rival's Raticate in Pokemon Red and Blue. But are you truly an eleven-year-old with blood on your hands? Unlike most other creepypasta, this Pokemon theory actually HAS evidence that gives us a definitive answer one way or the other, evidence that has gone largely unnoticed for the better part of the last decade. So today's Pokemon Theory is putting this question to rest...pun intended. Should Red be renamed as "Murderer Red?" Let's find out!

A couple weeks ago I was invited to Rome to meet the POPE HIMSELF! And when I bring a gift to the Pontiff, I make sure it's seriously good, which is why I brought him Undertale. I wanted to take the opportunity in this episode to talk about why this game is so important, not just for me personally but for the whole gaming community. As gamers, we know who we are, but every once in a while it's important to let the world know that this community is about more than monster-hunting and level grinding. Undertale is a pretty awesome representation of where we're going as gamers, so good on you, Loyal Theorists! Stay determined and keep up the good work.

Phoenix Wright is the hero of the justice system, investigating crimes and bringing criminals to justice! Right? RIGHT? But what if in the process of catching the bad guys, Phoenix is actually becoming one of them himself? It's Law and Order's worst nightmare on this week's episode!

Since the day FNAF Sister Location was announced, you've asked for theories about it! At first I didn't think there could be anything to say before the game actually came out, but I did my homework, dug into everything we know about the game...and found a few surprises. The result is today's theory, where I make my predictions for the latest iteration of FNAF...months before it even comes out! Am I right? Only time will tell...

Pokemon Go might be dominated by Team Mystic, but how do the teams break down for you loyal theorists? What do your teams say about you? I'm digging deep to uncover some of the underlying psychological trends among players in Pokemon Go.

Zombies are EVERYWHERE -- in movies, in games, on TV. And for as ridiculous as it might seem to be attacked by the walking dead, it's much more science than fiction. Which begs the question, how do you survive the zombie apocalypse? Well, it's all about location, location, location. So where is the BEST PLACE IN THE WORLD to outlive the attacking zombie hordes? I think I may have found the answer!

6x20 My Fan Game is a CRIME?!

6x20 My Fan Game is a CRIME?!

We live in an age of gaming where fans of a franchise can easily spin off their own games and post them for others to play. And it's AWESOME! Some of the best games I've played in the last year have been made by fans. And yet, as we've seen recently with Pokemon Uranium and Another Metroid 3 Remake...the original companies might not be so thrilled this is happening. And all of this is beginning to call up some…difficult...legal questions. So today, I'm asking the question "When is a fan game TRULY a fan game?" The answer to that question has changed A LOT recently...and it could produce some truly scary results.

At the end of this year's Olympics in Rio, we were all SHOCKED to see the Prime Minister of Japan jump out of a human-sized green pipe, dressed as Mario, and declare that the 2020 Olympics will be in Japan! His announcemenet made me wonder, just how would good old Mario fare at the Olympics? It seems like he'd crush the competition, but science might have something else to say about it. So does Mario take home the gold, or does he unexpectedly not even make it into the winner's circle?

The PLANET is NOT FLAT, and neither is Minecraft's! That's right, this world of cubes, is not actually a cube itself. And we theorists are proving it the only way we know how, with the use of science. But how can I be so sure without the ability to zoom out and see the planet as a whole? Well, the answer is as simple as taking a leap. No, not a leap of faith! - just a really high jump.

We now exist in a smart world, where everything is connected - from your light bulb, to your thermostat, to your phone. And while this may seem to be a wonderful convenience; it is also a terrifying vulnerability. It's been two years since our last Watch Dogs episode, and a lot has happened with technology since then. On today's episode, we're talking about the real world and the vulnerabilities that increasingly exist within it. You are NOT SAFE! So remember to turn that wi-fi off on your phone before someone steals and erases your whole life in a matter of seconds!

I Am One of THEM! Truer words were never spoken. But this is no metaphor, this is straight up fact! Since FNAF Sister Location's release, people have been asking a lot of questions about what it all means. How does Sister Location fit with the rest of the FNAF Universe? And, who are you playing as? After weeks of piecing these puzzles together... I have the answer!

It's NEVER over with FNAF, and it's NEVER over for FNAF's most notorious killer, William Afton, AKA the Purple Guy! With this latest installment of the FNAF franchise, I finally found something I've never been able to find in any of the games leading up to this one: a REASON for the killer to hunt down and kill children. Now for the first time ever we can put together pieces of the FNAF universe that have never made sense and finally understand who will "Put you back together..."

Ever wonder what's lurking behind that white picket fence across the street, or on the other side of those harmless looking curtains next door? Well Hello Neighbor, the new indie horror darling, answers that question in the creepiest way possible! Even though there's only an alpha build for this game available, it's already brought in huge speculation online and today's theory attempts to solve the mysteries of this game before it ever even comes out! Stalk your neighbor, evade security shark, and discover the deep secrets locked in his basement! You'll never look at your neighbors the same way again...

It's the most wonderful time of year again when I break into the Holiday Meta Theories! Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus! No, H3H3, Pewdiepie, Markiplier, and Jacksepticeye, YouTube isn't killing your channels. At least not on purpose. What they ARE doing is trying to become less like YouTube and more like TV, which means that what YouTube cares about it is changing. What IS really killing channels? Why is there so much less suggested video traffic? And why is asking for likes the stupidest thing you're doing right now? Let me explain.

Like I mentioned previously, the day before I put out my Hello Neighbor theory I found another huge chunk of evidence. Well here it is. What ties does your Neighbor have with the devil? How did he get to where he is today? And what part does the Neighbor play in the larger picture?
