Great episode but I do wish it was a little more balanced instead of ‘America’ all the time. The British were caricatured in this and the voiceover fails to point out that night raids were a necessity due to fighting alone for 4 years and losing aircraft early on. By the time the US came in precision bombing was possible because of numbers and the technological development. The vast majority of British pilots were kids just like the Americans, not members of the gentry like portrayed.
The bravery of the men stands on its own in my opinion, not sure the narrative needs to try and layer perceptions instead of facts over this.
The aerial scenes are really good. Shame what transpires on the ground is so bland and uninteresting. No real context. No feel for the command decisions, just airmen soap drama. I wanted to fast forward once the planes hit the deck, and that's no way to watch a show.
This episode tells you a lot about these men. Everyone is willing to risk his life to protect the wounded Fort. Because they know he's dead if they don't. They were also well aware that the daylight bombing campaign were suicide missions. What do we do about it ?
We bring our men throught it.
Elvis flying planes and talking about gambling….enthralling.
So far i am really enjoying this show. Great cast and the action set pieces are really well put together.
Excited for the next one, great cast.
Oh here we go, Brit bashing.
Brits can't do anything properly.
America fought the war all by themselves and won.
Lazy shit writing.
Really like this a lot more after this episode. Great cast and an intense storyline. It’s got me hooked. I was skeptical with the CGI at first but now I think it’s very well done.

Great episode, much better than the Pilot.
