Everyone knows where heroes come from, right? What happens is that a little radioactive bee bites Mommy. Or it may be that Daddy dumps a radioactive seed into Mommy's belly. Or suddenly a radioactive stork appears in the middle of the night with a present. But if none of this works, Mommy can get into a radioactive gamma-ray machine and blow it up. Yes, nuclear power was the great technological breakthrough of the 1950s and so it was the inspiration for a whole generation of heroes. Probably the heroes of this century will emerge from watching too many kitten memes on Facebook, or because they been putting little Bambi filters on their faces on Snapchat or even because they spent most of their time playing Pokemon Go.
People always like to compare heroes to gods of Greek mythology, but they have a lot more in common with drag queens, which is so much cooler and trendy. Half of them use “wonderful”, “fabulous” or “glorious” on their own names. Not to mention they won’t even leave the house without a good spandex suit, cape, fancy gloves and knee-high boots. Of course this isn’t exactly the best way to not draw attention and hide their own identity.
Persecuted for being genetically different, renegades by the international community, considered a threat to the security of the entire planet...the refugees today can only count on one super group to defend them, the R-MEN!! That different than most refugees, have superpowers, live in a mansion and dont have to work a shitty job, despite having a nuclear physics degree in their drawer. There really isnt much to complain about this mutant life
The history of the comic industry is proven to be misogynist, sexist and marked by the greatest atrocities against minorities, whenever it defended and fought for civil rights, for diversity and for the feminist cause. The comics have exploited and sexualized their strong, independent characters and protagonists of their own stories. The best thing would be for this industry to end up as an example to all the girls who grew up reading their stories and who today may have examples and symbols to look up to like the incredible Wonder Woman or the powerful woman who shames a whole generation of women.
Heroes aren't born, they are built. But villains are much more than that. They're forged by kicks, punches and shots...constant bullying with childish jokes and still have to go through the most terrifying and humiliating tortures just because some egotistical dickhead thought he was way too good for police academy and started taking justice ( and bondage) into his own hands.
Not every super group has a white billionaire, two tall buffed up blonde white dudes, a white guy that becomes buffed up, a really hot white guy that shoots arrows and a white sexy redhead. Sometimes you need to settle for only one gorgeous white man as a leader and unfortunately disguise the others with tons of CGI and if we really reach the limit...there's always green paint
Everyone wants to be treated as equal. As long as this equal, is equal to cool people, of course. If you think about it ... Most of the world gets f*cked over a lot. Like, a lot! Hunger, mistreatment, loss of the most basic civil rights, poor public health ... But you do not want to be treated like those guy. You just want to be treated differently. Probably you want to be equal to 5% of the world population, if that! But I'm not judging! Even because if you are watching this video, you are already at least equal to 47% of the world population that has access to the internet. It's a start.

We all have our own limits. Sometimes these limits are biological. Sometimes they're moral. Sometimes they're sentenced by a jerk of a judge that thinks he is somebody just because he went to college...and you have to keep a certain "distance" of an ex-girlfriend or a great work friend. Well, nobody likes limits, right? That's why everybody wants to be superheroes. So they can not give a fuck about what other people say, about rules and laws. Who doesn't want to be a superhero with no limits, able to rob a bank, beat anyone up and just grab some cash in the bank anytime you want?

But what people don't imagine is that sometimes the worst things can come from other abuse than what's "expected" by the mainstream media. Yes ... We truly believe that this young man suffers only from situations of extreme danger, irreversible psychological traumas, a lack of family structure, a precarious education, poor regimen, egoic delusions of grandeur, the most ridiculous clothes possible and humiliation of having it all documented in hundreds of magazines, movies, and cartoons for posterity.

Or you didn't get into a mysterious car with a mysterious man? Or even refused a mysterious drink from a strange, kinda creepy, mysterious guy? Well, that's it guys. It's all up to you...
People in Megalopolisville love immigrants. Especially those who are white, tall, muscular, with blue eyes, and have the face of a demigod. But it's not only looks that matter. They're underpaid, work under precarious conditions, and risk their life daily. That means that...being a hero is for losers! Patriotism is a wonderful thing. Being proud of your own country is a beautiful thing in any citizen's life. Unless you live in a shit country. You're probably bothered by what I said, right? But I did not say that your country is shit. In fact you're projecting it now. I don't even know what country you're from! You are creating theories based on your standards of good and bad. Crime does not pay. Actually, crime only doesn't pay if you get caught, of course. Because that means that you were not successful in your criminal career. But then again, if you're not successful, no career pays. I can say being a dentist does not pay if you're a shitty dentist. So, if you want to be a criminal, at least be a great one!

Everybody used to love watching the Power Rangers on TV. They were the heroes of an entire generation but...something dark and misterious happens inside this select group. See... Why would they morph into those spandexes? Really. They could fight off those smaller monsters just using their kungfu skills anyway. They didn't need to morph! And don't tell me that helmet helped them in any way. I'm sure that was very uncomfortable. And why not go straight to the big robot? Does it charge by the hour? It makes no sense! They'd put at risk the lives of hundreds of citizens trying to solve the situation with the smaller robots. It was just very irresponsible.
The R-Men get a visitor from the future every two or three weeks at least, to save the future. Which is pretty stupid if you think about it.
If the future sucks, why does not everyone in the future return to the past? Really! Think about it. If everyone came back, there would be no butterfly effect or temporal paradox to solve, because everyone would be here. And you can't even save the future, because if it goes back to the past, that's already part of the future...that means that it's part of the problem. Maybe they should just stay at home watching TV, instead of going to back to the past.
Isn't it strange that every superhero group has a mascot? What's the point of having the most powerful beings on the planet…fighting side-by-side with somebody that clearly can't even carry a plate without dropping it or making some physical joke and messing things up in the middle of an important mission? The answer is simple: Affirmative action. Which is really great. Where else those "mascots" would find jobs?
Back in the old days, things were simpler. People were not so sensitive about everything. Nobody would think it was weird seeing a middle aged man and a fourteen year old boy, crouching on a dark, dirty alley for an hour, waiting for other man to go in that same dark and dirty alleyway.

Comics are a reflection of our reality. Superheroes are almost always a metaphor that reflects our social issues and problems. This is exactly what the X-men discussed in the 1960s with civil rights issues relevant to their time. And in the same way today, we present to you another hero who also reflects a part of our reality...a hero who does absolutely nothing, that does not add anything and that only mooches off your 56 year old aunt that every now and then gives your new twenty-year-old uncle new Nike shoes, a car or a trip to some resort in Bali.

In the world of superheroes, death is a very present subject. And any of them can die at any moment. And that's exactly what they want. The death of a superhero is like a promotion. He'll be able to take a few months off and come back completely renewed, will be in the cover of several newspapers around the world and in most cases, will be the first time most readers will even know he exists. And if by any chance the war makes its way to you (accidentally) in the castle where you are "protected", you'll probably be in a dark room with other armors, and far away from the battle...
