What the f is going on? Is there something I missed in regards to her conscious being able to exist in two places at the same time?
Or did she fork her timeline into a new stub, which means she exists in the new timeline including everything she knows BUT in that timeline she doesn't execute herself?
I'm surprised I'm the first one to comment on this asking questions about what the hell just happened.
Hey quick question: Is s02 ready yet?
Show is Getting worse.
Inserting propaganda.
The moment the uttered the words “right wing”, I lost respect for the show.
I just received a notification that the series has been cancelled. That's too bad, because I enjoyed it.
Absolutely wonderful episode. I feel like it did a good job of maintaining the momentum of the story as well as provide a good season ending. I have really enjoyed the nuances of the story and world building and we learn quite a bit more in this episode.
Flynn finally shows us what she is capable of when she puts her mind to it. She truly has a vengeful side and I love it. A girl after my own heart.
Oh, wow, that was quite a WTF moment at the end! I get the what and why but the how leaves me troubled... And I also don't remember some of the names.
Conner: "Checkmate... And you're fucking done. That's what makes life so hard. No reboot." yeah... :o We and our lives are so fragile. One mistake or bad coincidence and our lives can change forever within a few seconds.
Tommy indeed didn't know that the weapon from the future doesn't necessarily kill. He's in an "interesting" position now and Flynne had no idea.
I do wonder if Dr. Nuland could cure Flynne's mom?
Jasper is quite something... Those guys are super stupid! Jasper seems a bit dumb as well though... I first expected him to start a fight in the bar, then I was worried that he didn't have a gun when he left those guys in the car (in case they would wake up as they probably have a gun), then it seemed like a stupid idea to rescue them by waking them up (how would he explain what happened?!?), and then the situation "resolved" itself and tbh things probably went quite well for Jasper.
Anyway, this was certainly interesting but too short... :o :D
I hope the time travelling won't beak the story / make anything meaningless in future seasons.
Why does those bikes have paddles if they are full electric ?
I am completely lost, about the extra stubs and stuff. Loki explained it better.
I honestly had no idea this was a finale episode until I read the comments here. That would've been fine if there were 10 episodes in a season, but as a finale? I have a feeling it's going to be one of those shows that by the time season 2 comes out I'll forget most of what happened in season 1.
I need to watch this episode again. Seems like they tried to converge too many things in a short amount of time.
Worst episode of the season of already boring show.
Is this
A) one of the most underwhelming last episodes or
B) one of the toughest cliffhanger endings in a last episode?
Maaaan it feels like an important thing is missing. Even after the (strangely long) post credit scene I feel left with some kind of conclusion. That last episode missed a bit of drive though.
I enjoyed this show but I'm confused as hell. that scene after the credits just confused me more...
Keep watching there's an extra scene!
This show has been wasted potential since the second episode. I won't be watching the next season.
Great show, but season finale sould have been done in two episode or a 2 hours episode 8, this was way to rushed compare to the entire season.
01x08 - The Creation of a Thousand Forests: 7.2/10 (Good, It Gets the Job Done, Slightly Flawed)
I had high expectations for “The Peripheral” after the two-episode series premiere, and although it has undoubtedly had its moments, overall, it has been a little disappointing.
The season finale, “The Creation of a Thousand Forests,” cleverly titled drawing parallels between tree branches and the various branches of realities that are shown to us, had a lot resting on it. In a complex science fiction show, it’s easy for a poor finale to undermine the entire storyline. Even if, from a narrative perspective, I believe the season finale concluded where it should have, the episode felt rushed and occasionally muddled. It’s unfortunate that the season’s sluggish pacing as a whole leads to a finale that needs to hurry along, sacrificing the necessary breathing room for the tale it’s attempting to tell.
This isn’t necessarily a knock on the show, but the first season only gave a very shallow explanation of what is actually going on, so it can be hard to follow unless you pay close attention. Even though it was great to see all the Sci-Fi elements come together in the end, I couldn’t help but feel like the show wasted time on unimportant subplots and didn’t invest enough in its characters. Therefore, even pivotal points in the story didn’t have the impact they should have.
Now that the foundation has been laid, hopefully, next season will make up for this one’s shortcomings. The show’s premise has been intriguing, and the ideas it explores feel substantial, even if it occasionally falters in execution. I’ll definitely be tuning in next season, but unless you share my enthusiasm for sophisticated Sci-Fi television, I’ll hold off on any recommendations, at least for the time being.
I enjoy the show and most episodes yet this season finale missed its mark. It feels a bit rushed. Two additional episodes would have helped.
A bit of an underwhelming finale to be honest.
Best William Gibson adaptation I ever have seen ... for me it has the right mix of action and plotting and future tech
Interesting turn of event! With quite the post scene with Zubov! Can't wait!
I honestly don't get it. Why would you need Season 2? Why be greedy, when you have all the money in the world?
You could've added two episodes and closed an entirely good story, more or less faithful to the book.
so he shot her to erase her from that stub... sheesh let's jump a little more. feels like the 3rd matrix movie... lol

Keep watching after the credits, there is an extra scene as to what is coming next. I assume there will be a 2nd Season. But when?
