[7/10] This one just nudges itself into “good” territory. I appreciate the wryness of Our Favorite Family laughing at the “dumb antics” of monkeys at the zoo, only to find ape doppelgangers of themselves there. The simian designs are funky, in a neat way, and there’s a few neat exaggerated expressions at play.
Plus, while I’m not a big fan of poo-throwing humor, Homer teasing an animal only to get his comeuppance is a venerable strain of humor for The Simpsons,(most notably the dolphin who steals his hotdog), so I’m on board with it here.
