The Top Gear team of Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond decide, for Sport Relief to resurrect the show Ground Force, and provide a garden makeover to the garden of one of Britain's 'sporting legends', namely Sir Stephen Redgrave. Helping them are a team of Poles. As the team's only 'country bumpkin' Hammond is the team leader. However, his garden plan fails to impress Clarkson and May, who want to include a water feature and a shed, respectively. They are sent to a Wyevale Garden Centre to pick up supplies, returning with their desired equipment. Hammond uses a small digger to dig a trench, to be used to create a 'river of gravel.' Clarkson earlier revealed his unique method for pulling up weeds and cutting branches off trees using a shotgun. Hammond's digger topples over in the trench, so he returns with a much larger digger to pull it out, resulting in leaving numerous Caterpillar tracks marks all over the garden. Meanwhile, James and the Poles have completed the shed. Hammond's tree seat is completed. He brings in a 14 tone crane to hook the seat so he could slip it over the tree. Despite the machine getting stuck, the crane is long enough to hook onto the seat. Because he had not got the hang of the crane, he accidentally swished it sideways, destroying both the shed and the seat. Clarkson decides to remove a rockery by using a homemade bomb. During the explosion one wall of the shed James built is smashed. After this happens May steps out of the shed with a plank of wood, and asks what time the programme will air. After being informed it was going to air after the watershed, he exclaims 'you're a fu-'. At this point, the episode cuts to the next scene. Jeremy orders some cement to pave over the garden, but he orders too little, and only a small

Cars! Film! Cars on film! Film involving cars! You get the idea. It’s basically a Blu-ray involving those two things. Gasp as we find the perfect drift car for a gritty, Bourne Identity-style chase! Cheer as we stage a race for all those unsung heroes of the movie industry! Whoop as we find the car that makes the perfect dramatic exhaust note to dub onto an action sequence! Make some other sort of noise we haven’t thought of yet as we re-attempt the classic Man With The Golden Gun barrel roll, having frankly made a total hash of it when we first tried it on telly! All this plus a vast fleet of sexy supercars and a man with a jet pack racing a Skoda. Top Gear At The Movies. It’s better than an actual movie. Probably. Actually, it depends on which movie we’re talking about. Truth is, you’d be better judging this on a case-by-case basis. Why not write to us with the name of a film and we’ll tell you whether this Blu-ray is better or not. Actually, on second thoughts, don’t.

Freddie, Chris and Paddy set out to revolutionise the world of caravanning with the help of some new electric cars and some very small caravans. Chris lives the high life in Maserati’s new MC20 supercar, and Paddy pays tribute to the legendary Eddie Kidd.

James and Jeremy compete against each other in a biathlon using an Audi Q7 and a Volvo XC90, with the loser having to eat yellow snow. There's also a spectacular attempt to send a rocket-powered Mini down the ski-jump.

Jeremy, Richard and James are dropped deep in the Bolivian rainforest armed only with three shabby 4x4s which they bought untested over the internet from local small ads for a maximum of 3500 pounds each. They attempt to drive them from the heart of Bolivia to the coast of Chile, encountering local drug lords, the debilitating effects of high altitude and the terrifying sheer drops of the infamous Death Road along the way.

The East Coast Road Trip (AKA "USA Super Car Road Trip" or the "3rd USA Road Trip") was the name of the first of two standalone specials which aired prior to Series 16 in early 2011, airing on the 21st of December, 2010, the other special being the Middle East Special which aired five days later on Boxing Day. It was presented by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, with The Stig not appearing due to the ongoing lawsuit between the BBC and Ben Collins, the driver who portrayed the tame racing driver's second incarnation. Danny Boyle was the guest star. In this episode, the trio were tasked with traveling from North Carolina to New York in a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, a Ferrari 458 Italia and a Porsche 911 GT3 RS.

The Africa Special is a Top Gear special in which Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May attempt to find the true source of the River Nile in secondhand estate cars on a budget. It was the first special in Top Gear history to be split into two parts and air across two episodes, airing as the sixth and seventh episodes in the nineteenth series. The team traveled through Central Africa to achieve this goal, starting in Uganda and traveling through Rwanda to reach their final destination in Tanzania. The special was originally slated as a Christmas Special for 2012 and was filmed in the same year, however it was pushed back and aired in 2013 instead.

Special 125 Burma Special

  • 2014-03-09T19:00:00Z1h

The Burma Special was a two-part special episode of the BBC motoring show Top Gear which saw the three presenters using a trio of derelict lorries to travel across Burma, also known by its modern name of Myanmar, to Thailand in order to construct a bridge over the River Kwai, in reference to the 1957 movie starring Alec Guinness. The special aired as the penultimate and final episode in Top Gear's twenty-first series, on the 9th of March, 2014 and the 16th of March, 2014 respectively. The special aired in two parts like 2013's Africa Special which preceded it, and 2014's later Patagonia Special, which succeeded it. The combined runtime of both episodes is 125 minutes, or 2 hours and 5 minutes. The Burma Special faced controversy after its airing when viewers complained that Jeremy and Richard made racist remarks in the second part of the episode by referring simultaneously to the gradient on their bridge and a local Thai man crossing it.

5x01 The Colonial Invasion on the Beach

  • 2004-10-24T19:00:00Z1h

Cars from the "colonies": the Vauxhall Monaro VXR from Australia and the Chrysler 300C from the United States take on the Jaguar S Type R on the beach at Pendine Sands in south Wales. Back at the Top Gear track, Jeremy is trying to tell the difference between the old Porsche 911 Carrera and the new Porsche 911 Carrera S. That could be the least of Jeremy’s worries, in the last series after looking at the prototype of the new Astra, he said he would eat his own hair if the car actually looked like the prototype when it was launched. With a guest appearance from chef Antony Worrall Thompson in the studio, things aren’t looking good for Jeremy. There's also time to destroy an ice-cream van and some bouncy castles and Bill Bailey is the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.

The new Ford Focus is tested (by Richard) and compared to its rivals. Pink Floyd’s drummer, Nick Mason lends Jeremy his new Ferrari F60 Enzo in return for a subtle plug for his new book. There’s a race between a grumpy teen on an all terrain board and a Mitsubishi Evo7 Group N rally car - and a Bowler Wildcat just for good measure. Ben Collins drives the cars - (Stig without his helmet?) Jeremy compares super cars from the 1980s with their modern counterparts to see if the more modern up-to-date cars are really better. Pagani Zonda, Porsche Carrera GT, Ferrari Enzo are the modern super cars and the throw-backs are the, Jaguar XJ220, McLaren F1 and the Ferrari F40. Geri Halliwell is the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.

Richard drove the new, 218mph, £400,000 Pagani Zonda Roadster in Switzerland, one of only 40 that will be built. He compared it to the Wally 118 - a £14 million pound boat made of lightweight material such as carbon fibre. There's a game of Caravan Conkers between Richard and James; they also spent 24 hours in a Smart car. This was because the makers described the interior of the car as 'lounge concept'. Unable to leave the car, they relied on passers-by to get them things such as: tea, pasties and newspapers. They spent the night parked in the Screaming Woods in Pluckley, the 'most haunted village in England'.The village 'boasts' 12 ghosts including: the Highwayman, the Screaming Man and a monk. Jeremy drove the new Aston Martin Vanquish S and the Ferrari 575 with, Steve Coogan.

The Morgan Aero 8GTN is driven by Richard and derided by, James and Jeremy. 5x07 Murcielago vs Evo VIII

Richard takes the new Mustang on a road trip - to Lincoln along Britain’s straightest road. The Prius, a supposedly eco-friendly vehicle is driven and hated by Jeremy, who said that a diesel Lupo will actually do more miles per gallon - 75 compared to the 45mpg of the Prius. The Lamborghini Murcielago is up against the Mitsubishi EVO VIII and the Top Gear Awards were announced, Jeremy was the winner of the Clot of the Year for leaving the Land Rover Discovery at the top of Cape Wrath. He was the recipient of the Golden Cock.Roger Daltrey is the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.

Another epic race pits the car against public transport. Richard and James travel by aeroplane and train in an attempt to beat Jeremy - driving a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, to their destination at Verbier in Switzerland. In Lillehammer, Richard and James are having another race; with the help of the Norwegian Olympic Bobsleigh team, Richard tries to race down the bobsleigh track at Lillehammer, faster than James can travel down the road that runs along side the bobsleigh track. James is in a Mitsubishi Evo rally car driven by, Henning Solberg. The Stig gets to take a F1 Renault around the track, old racing cars compete with modern road cars to see how fast they are and Eddie Izzard is the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.
