I suppose it makes sense for BoJack to survive (since he's basically just a horse/man hybrid? I dunno, it's complicated - but he weighs 1,200 pounds as we've seen in a few shots before).
Seems like Sarah Lynn just straight-up dies at the end, and if so then damn, is that unexpected (but also makes perfect sense).
Guess we gotta keep watching to find out.
Now I really want to know how tf the genetics of this universe work lmao
Oh my god, we finally get to hear the guy who's been running in front of BoJack's house for a season or two!
This was a good episode too, showing that BoJack does remember things and just doesn't wanna tell people (for whatever reason).
I guess Mr. Peanutbutter just pretending that she isn't back kinda works with his character? But I dunno, it feels too naive to me - even for him.
And the rabbit guy's sub-plot is finally over too! I knew registering it all in Carolyn's name would come back to bite him lol.
I wonder how season 3 will pan out...
Damn, I was hoping we'd see Wanda again.... ah well.
Good to see BoJack begin to move away from his past though.
The intro feels like a parody of something I haven't seen, but other than that this episode is just... kinda there.
I am curious about how the hell biology works in this universe since Charlotte has a human and deer child.
The few boner "jokes" it had were unfunny af though. Kinda surprised the show wrote them tbh.
Also, holy shit BoJack is gonna get a ton of lawsuits & shit - and Jesus Christ penny, what in the actual fuck?! Very glad BoJack shut her down fast.
...and then he immediately fucked it up big time. Holy shit.
Everyone's saying this episode is bad, but I think it perfectly encapsulates what the show started with: BoJack is a pretty shitty person who always makes shitty decisions, dragging down everyone alongside him.
This episode hammers home that core theme doubly so with its ending (and his desperation to have a normal life by pleading with Charlotte to just up & leave with him).
I do hope we get to check back in on how said ending impacts her family later on in the series, but this episode is kind of a perfect package of the show's central theme & BoJack's characterization.
It's deeply uncomfortable and makes you question what the hell is happening - and anything that does that in today's media landscape is a massive breathe of fresh air.

This is a good narration in the weird military worship the US inexplicably has for no real reason, the news kinda ignoring actual news in favour of whatever generates interaction online, and a couple more things.
Also makes a good point about people only searching for what they want right at the end.

It feels like an actual ending too, instead of the "we got cancelled lol" that a lot of shows end on.
I do hope we get a second season, but at the same time it'd be fine if we didn't (although I would be a bit disappointed lol).
Simon realizing that he can still make a life for himself even after a millennia is a great way to end his character arc, and Fionna realizing she doesn't need to escape into some fantasy world to do anything is good too (and a bit too relatable...).
Also great to see him finally accept that Betty is gone, and that he should forge a path of his own into the future rather than excavating the past he holds so dear.
As I said at the start, this was a great ending to a solid series. It starts off slow, but after the first half it's damn good.
I do hope things start up a bit faster if we get a second season though. Kinda tough to sell someone on a show if it just meanders for the first half lol.

Good to see that Betty's wish worked though, and is keeping Simon safe from both the crown and attackers.
And I didn't expect to see Sherm and Beth again, but it was neat to see (what I assume to be) a different parallel version of them.
And the pagelings returning was unexpected too (although it seems they've gone a bit crazy over the years), but still a welcome surprise.
Now for the final episode.... I kinda don't want it to end though.
Seeing a wasteland world with familiar sites (and faces) is always pretty intriguing - and finding out Simon's backstory is great too. Can't believe he & Betty discovered the Enchiridion.
And holy shit, I did not expect BMO to just fucking explode after sacrificing himself (kinda neat to see him be replaced with Fionna's alarm clock though. I noticed that look similar to him in the first episode).
But the Lich returning, damn. Did not see that coming, but at the same time it was foreshadowed from the entire world being a wasteland.
And is Golb "the boss"?! There's no way, right?
This episode was damn good. Easily the best one so far.
Damn, they went all-out with the references! Martin, Billy, Marceline's mom we saw like 3 times - even Ricardio! (and it seems like the King of Ooo is the investor guy Gary meets?)
It was also really weird but kinda cool to see a pure evil Marceline. I also think the opening has some good foreshadowing - with this universe's Marceline finding Simon's corpse then getting abducted (presumably by the Vampire King).
And Gary being able to talk about his candy kingdom (ha) was good too.
I really like how they've done the multiverse so far. Gets tiring to see stuff use it for a handful of scenes and maybe 1 or 2 jokes/references without really expanding upon it or doing anything with it, ya know?
Overall, this was another great episode.
So far, the songs haven't been nearly as good as Adventure Time (and I think it's got its fair share of bad or mid songs).
I was suspicious of the Winter King when he showed up, and I was right lmao. I figured he'd either be secretly evil or it was all a red herring.
And Gary's cookie people being the candy kingdom characters we know was neat. I do like how integrated the multiverse is in this show. Most things with that setup don't copy side characters.
Also neat to see him interact wtih Marshall (still can't believe how close his name is to Marceline lol. I fuss the writers couldn't think of anything else?)
I'm also pretty sure the shop attendant is the parallel Gunther too. Kinda funny if so lol.
Anyway, this was another good episode. Hoping the last few are more akin to this rather than the first half.
I was wondering if they'd ever bring back the farm world. It only showed up once in the original series, and it was cool to revisit it and see how things are going.
That being said, it does muddy the timeline a bit. I guess Farmworld Finn either recovered and removed the crown, or just wasn't meant to exist?
Either way, this episode was pretty good. Nice change of pace from the first few.
This feels a lot weaker than the other episodes, and didn't really go anywhere until the very end.

Still though, this is pretty good (and we get to find out what that magic beam from that one episode of Adventure Time was doing there).
I hadn't really considered what Simon got up to after the finale, but now we know that he just feels really out-of-place (kinda sad he didn't show up in Distant Lands).
Imagine living through a thousand years while being half-conscious for almost all of it. Shit would not be fun lol.
This episode was great too. We got to see old Finn, Marceline (her long hair was better), and a couple more.
Seems like the main plot is gonna start up soon, and I for one am looking forward to it.
Bit of a slow start to the series, but it was neat to see the "real world" version of Fionna (and Cake).
Also cool to see how many background characters you can recognize from the original show.
A great extension of the series that gives us some more backstory on several key characters (the second episode is the best one btw).
All 4 are worth watching after you've seen the show. Hoping they make more one day.
I'd always been curious about Peppermint Butler's backstory (especially after the series finale. I also figured he was one of the first candy people Princess Bubblegum made), and I gotta say I'm slightly disappointed with this one.
It's still good, but the ending pretty much kills him off for good and I'm kinda disappointed at that.
I guess Butler v2 (or Momo, I suppose) could be decent, but the series is over now so there's no way to know for sure.
Episode 2 remains as the best one, with 3 coming next, followed by the first then this one.
I did like the concept of this series though, and do hope they make more in the future. It's always great to get some more worldbuilding, ya know?
Anyway, this entire series is still worth a watch after you've finished the main show.
It's got some great self-contained stories that expand upon the established lore & characters, and this is no exception.

The fake-out intro setting up the fact that they've already been dead for years was a great subversion of expectations. It seems like this entire series takes place after the show ends (although the fiest episode seems like it goes over how BMO met Finn & Jake? Unless that was a parallel dimension or something...)
But anyway, this episode covers their bond and how it can transcend death itself - and it does a great job at that while also bringing back characters we've seen before. Even has a good message that's kinda meant to make you reflect on your own life & what it means to you.
We also get to see Life for the first time, and having the twist be that the snake guy is her & death's son was great (and it even brought back the Lich!).
And seeing Peppermint Butler again was fun too. I always wondered what his deal was (and still don't know lol). Also seems like Bubblegum finally died, and he took over the kingdom? I wonder what happened to Marceline....
As I said at the start, I do think episode 2 is just a tad better - but I'm biased since I like Marceline and Bubblegum's characters more.
Still though, this is another easy 10/10 for me.

Marceline has been one of my favourite characters for a while now (though it did take a few episodes), and I'd always wondered what exactly made her and Princess Bubblegum stop talking - and this episode answers that.
It's got a great story, 2 more great songs (but all of Marceline's songs are great tbh), and answers questions you probably had but didn't expect an answer too (like how Bubblegum got that shirt, why she kept it for so long after they stopped talking, and why they've got a history that the main series doesn't really explore until near the end (but even then it's vague at best)).
It's also got a good message about being yourself and acknowledging that people grow & change over time.
I'm definitely gonna rewatch this in the future, but I do wonder why Bubblegum didn't make a new arm for Finn (although it was pretty cool to see him again, and I'm pretty sure one of Jake's kids is with him - but I don't really remember any of them lmao).
I doubt the other 2 episodes will top this (although I'm biased since I like Marceline & Bubblegum and their dynamic quite a bit lol), but it'd be a pleasant surprise if so.
I do wonder why older Finn doesn't have an arm though. I figured Princess Bubblegum would've made him a new one.

This was a good start to this mini-series anthology.
It was great to see more of space, as we've only gotten brief glimpses of it before.
Y5 & The Drift are great too, and although I doubt we'll ever see either again it'd be nice to drop in again and see how things went.

The first 2/3-ish is a bit wonky since Gumbald was barely set up as a villain and as such doesn't really work as one, but everything else is pretty damn good.
Although the aunt is just kinda there. She could've been removed or dum-ified again and nothing would really change (maybe they had plans in the future?)
A ton of one-off characters return, the Bubblegum & Marceline ship finally becomes canonical, and the actual ending is really open - just like the theme of the show: A life of unexpected adventure, encompassing everything too can imagine & more.
Betty's sacrifice completes her character arc, finally letting go of the man she was so desperate to save.
I also like the ending being a homage to the show's intro. In a way, Finn passed the torch of Adventure Time to a new pair of friends.
My only real complaint is BMO not remembering Finn's name. I dunno, it just bothers me. Dude was there for Finn's entire life and couldn't even remember his name, but he remembered Bubblegum's despite only meeting her a few times (if at all)?
Hearing the full outro song over a montage of where everyone is was good too. Reminds me of Regular Show's ending. Also like the implication that the Music Hole is singing it after every episode.
But alas, the opening has lied to us the entire time - for the fun does end, and here is where the train stops.
It was a good ride though, and I'll probably revisit a few episodes every so often in the future.
It's been 6 years, so I doubt there's gonna be a revival - but if so, I would like to see what Bubblegum and Marceline are up to. They're 2 of the handful of immortal characters, and I wonder how things panned out after the ending.
I didn't expect them to do a Minecraft crossover, but this was kinda neat.
There's a lot of great references if you've played Minecraft, and even if you haven't this is still an ok episode.

Well anyway, this was a good episode. We haven't seen Hunson in like 3 seasons, and his plotpoint with Marceline felt like it was forgotten - but now we've got this episode to conclude it!
Nice to see him actively try to be better, though ending things on a typical invasive parents joke kinda sours it a bit.
But still, it was nice to see him try and fix things with Marceline (and Finn's new sword looks pretty cool).
Nice homage to "Gawain and the Green Knight" at the start.
Also sets up the villains for the season while tying it back to the "Elements" miniseries.
Not bad.

It's easy to forget that Princess Bubblegum is about as old as Ooo itself, and these occasional episodes that fill in her backstory are always welcome.
I do wonder how she got her name though. Did she name herself, or did the "mother gum" do it?
Good origin for some of the candy helpers we've seen since the start of the series, and it really plays into her original characterization as a paranoid ruler with a bit of narcissism (perhaps that stems from these events? I'd imagine it'd be a bit traumatizing to have your own creations turn against you).
Honestly, the main flaw Is Gumbald having no set up due to how short the last 2 seasons are. He just kinda shows up, randomly becomes evil after being created, and that's it.
Granted, the Lich does have a similar setup - but it works better due to the time it was given (and it wasn't done after the Lich had been introduced).
But, the pun in the cousin's name adds at least half a star (if you don't know, his name is a pun on "chicle" - which is a type of sap used to make gum. I think it's not used that much anymore though).
