I hope Paul dies a slow and agonizing death.
Three episodes in and I'm already seriously annoyed by the characters' irrational choices and unrealistic behavior. Keeping secrets or lying for no good reason, promising one thing and doing another, etc. And they keep doing it over and over. And I'm not even mentioning their almost casual reaction to discovering a magic mirror that serves as a gateway to another realm. After such an experience any real person would start to seriously question their f****ng sanity or at least have a panic fit and leave that house to never come back again. I know I would. But no, these kids are like: "Wow, magic door. I guess that's nothing to be seriously alarmed about." Even after losing their father in a horrific and traumatic event it doesn't seem to bother these kids at all that they just almost lost their mother too inside this magic mirror maze. And these are just a few examples on the top my head. There's much more where that came from.
It's like watching an '80 horror movie where someone in an already dire situation hears a scary noise and decides to go towards it instead of running to safety. And sure, that was okay then. Maybe fun even. But today, these 30-40 old "proven devices" have become just that: old. Really old, both literally and figuratively. But apparently 30-40 years was not enough time for these writers to come up with something different or original.
It's a shame really, because I think the story overall is quite interesting. But it is starting to become almost unbearable to watch when the only reason the characters behave the way they do is because it's the easiest way to move the plot into a certain direction. It's lazy writing like this that makes characters unbelievable and unrelateble.
Top research facility and all you need to do to get in is put the boss' voicemail on speaker...
Woof, this pretty awful. Acting is poor and hardly any Sarah Michelle Gellar. Couldn't get trough the first episode.
Stopped watching after 90 seconds when I found out that this show is not about the darknet/deepweb, as the name seems to suggest.
Just watched this last episode and my entire body is tingling. I can safely say that this show is the best I have ever seen.
I love the Australian discount Duke Nukem.
Their budget must've been cut this season because everything is filmed inside a studio. Kinda sucks because those outside shots gave it a lot of its charm.
I like Andy Samberg and usually enjoy the things he's in but I think he sucks as a voice artist. Adding his already cooky personality to a cartoon characters sort of feels like a hat on a hat.
Some of this show is "blah", but then some of it is like, "Okay."
Edit:
Well, it certainly gets better towards the end. Hoping we'll see a season 2.
I love hearing Fymrym say "lotusses".
So glad he's back. I've missed him :)
I want to like this but at ep 6 I can no longer deny that it is pretty terrible.
It starts out pretty "meh" but slowly progresses into funny going on to be pretty hilarious at times. It's a weird setting for a comedy show, which, I think, takes some time to get used to.
Third time watching this season and still this ending almost makes me cry.
J. Edgar binging The Wire, I'd like to see that :joy:
Fun show, but they've taken huge creative liberties when it comes to anything technological. Contacts haven't been stored on SIM cards for at least 10 years before the first season came out. The same goes for text messages. You can't crack encryption on a laptop, unless you're willing to wait a 1000 years. Storage capability of SIM cards is extremely limited, so it's impossible to store video files on it. Emails can't destroy themselves. And the list goes on...
This show isn't very funny but I don't think it is meant to be funny. It is, however, fun to watch.
Watching this movie again as an adult: Damn, Arnold Schwarzenegger is a terrible actor. Most of the time it seems he just happily says the words given without really understanding what he's saying or understanding what's going around him. Fun movie, though!
Delightfully ridiculous. Love the colorful and crisp animation style.
Decent season so far. A bit disappointed in the retconning, though: after Eleven escaped in season 1 she had to learn how to speak but here she's having full-on conversations with One... Still, looking forward to the finale.
I hate Jack Shephard with every fiber of my being.
I don't understand all the positive comments for this episode. It was a filler. It adds nothing to the overall story line. You could make an episode like this for any other show. The idea of parallel universes is not an idea that is unique to Legion.
I loved this episode. So much randomness, almost like watching something on Adult Swim.
Pretty awesome stuff! A recap would've been nice, though.
Man... Zeus is one nasty creep.
It's like Dexter, You and Tony Soprano's mother had a baby and it grew up in New Zealand.
I love the Ghost-in-the-Shell-esque intro song.
Patty Solis-Papagian is such a great character and Nina Arianda just fucking nails it.
The show is okay but I absolutely love the opening tune :relaxed:
