It's been a long time since I haven't been hooked on a Spanish show like I'm with this one. Very well produced with a great script and actors.
Beautiful Anime. one of the best of the Gundam Franchise.
This is the best season so far. It was bloody intense (I'm not saying the other ones were not) They obviously gave women a big role, at the plot and to the actresses. I can't say it's a surprise that Claire leaves Frank, to be honest, I really liked their relationship since Chapter 1. They seems to complete each other for many episodes. But it also looks like a flat line, no emotions, just interests of both parts to gain power. This season showed it perfectly, and Frank said it to Claire in a ruthless way. -I must say, Frank Underwood is an awful character, but somehow I like him. It's different and mean. So is Claire, she's classy, strong and independent, that's why she took her decision and I hope she keeps it. I guess we will see how the Underwood ship sinks next season... Or maybe not?
Probably the worst comedy ever made.
Now we're cooking. Cliffhanger aside, I loved seeing all the scenes from Marcy's life. Simon going away was heartbreaking. Her little girl companion was adorable and sweet. Plus, there was some superbly animated action with Marcy's fights with the fool and the wolverine vampire. I also enjoyed the music, especially little Marceline's song with her mom. That scene had a strange, almost Miyazaki quality to it in terms of animation.
If there's one thing this show does well, it's telling epic, time-spanning stories that pack in bits of heart without forgetting to be fun, and this fit that to a tee. The band of vampires Marceline has slain playing in a band together is an interesting twist, and I'm curious to know where they'll go with it. Plus, Marceline really losing her vampireness is an interesting twist as well. Excited to see where they're going with it.
Since at Wayne's World I & II Totally Ninja has been changed to Party on!
My suggestion it to change this one to Totally Excellent!
This was a fine start to the "Stakes" miniseries. I enjoyed the Marceline-specific intro, and her conversation with PB about removing her vampire-ness was a nice, if heavy moment for a kids' TV show, especially the talk that this would mean that Marcy would die one day. By the same token, the vampire-bit animals had a kind of disturbing realness to them in how they were drawn. This show is no stranger to getting a little creepy or unsettling, but it felt a little different somehow.
Despite that, things lightened up quite a bit in the second half of the episode. Jake was on fire joke-wise, between his bad cop routine, his fear of vampires, and his general playfulness. There seemed to some weird animation quirks for whatever reason, with characters eyes going all slanty and some jerks in their movements. Not sure what to make of it. Otherwise, a nice beginning.
Sad to see him fall for professional victims like Anita Sarkeesian and Brianna Wu and make fun of some rational statements(telling somebody that taking nude pics is a bad idea is NOT the same as claiming the victims are at fault, it's sensible advice in the same way that "lock your door when you go out" is a good idea and isn't the same as claiming that somebody with an open door is at fault for being robbed) in this episode. First time he disappointed me.
This episode is awesome!!!!!!!
