The scorn and cruelty of Tywin's words to Tyrion are impressive. Tyrion is the only worthy person within that family, everyone else is below him. He deserved better.
It's so irritating the pleasure that Stannis, his wife and Melisandre show in front of people being burned alive. Jon Snow did the right thing under the circumstances. Despite the friction, Mance didn't deserve to die in agony.
Bree, a muse. A complete queen. I love this opening scene so much, the decision she makes to push George away for good and leave her alone by being a good hostess for the guests. Picking up a shotgun and shooting straight into the speaker is not for everyone! And damn, thank God she visited Dr. Goldfine and thank God he mentioned that the attacker was on a blue bike. Otherwise, she wouldn't have called the police and this evidence wouldn't have been found. And George would keep chasing her until who knew when, and how it would end too...
It's disturbing when she hears from the investigator that George killed Rex, that they found evidence... Marcia Cross's expression in the elevator is heartbreaking - an impeccable performance, which shows the character's pain when realizing that the cause of the Van De Kamp family tragedy was by her side (he had even become her fiancé) the entire time. As for George, I have no words for this plan he came up with to try to manipulate her. Taking pills and demanding that she stay by his side to face the police. FUCK, he's so fucked up! He even had the courage to say that “he did everything for her, because she wanted to”, just to make her worse.
Bree's decision, on the other hand, is controversial, and difficult... After all, failure to help is a crime, and she sat there for a long time until George was dead for good. She was very cold-blooded. But it's understandable. He destroyed part of her life, took the love out of her life... Anyway, I just think he deserved to suffer more! That was very easy, very “fast” considering everything he did. Go stalker people in hell now, go!!!
“It’s like my grandmother always said... An erect penis doesn’t have a conscience.”
“Even the limp ones aren’t that ethical.”
I love it when Tyrion confronts Joffrey. Tyrion, by the way, is the only good thing among the Lannisters. Sansa, after all, was very lucky to marry him. If the marriage were to Joffrey, she would undoubtedly suffer much more.
There’s no way to dissuade Susan from the disagreement she had with Bree. It was immeasurable irresponsibility on Bree’s part. Susan asked for the doctor who sees her because she knows how picky and perfectionist Bree is and that she would seek the best care possible. I understood Bree’s distress in that instant, but simply pulling a random number out of the phone book and passing it on to Susan was unnecessary. The office scene is funny, but what a depressing and horrible place. I don’t know why Susan allowed herself to be touched by the “doctor.” In her place I would have withdrawn as soon as that woman said she was there to buy clean urine. Dude?
For a moment you can believe that Bree is going to tell Susan the truth when they apologize at the end. And she might as well have told her. Bree hides a lot of secrets, and often for pretty silly reasons, as is the case with this whole story now. Can you imagine the shame if they find out she’s been wearing a fake belly all this time? Then she will introduce the child as her son, when in fact he is her grandson. Bree spoke in the other episode that she’s doing this because Danielle can’t even take care of herself... But she can keep the baby, she can raise him as a grandmother, and she doesn’t have to lie about it. This is so common... Anyway, I always feel sorry for her when she finds out that Danielle had a complication. And she feels guilty for not having fulfilled her only request, which was to take the DVD player.
Stella is AWESOME, man. I laugh a lot with her going after Andrew to get the weed and give it to Lynette. And she still uses Parker to make her eat. You can see that what she said when she arrived at their house is true: she cares and wants to see her daughter feeling as well as possible, and wants her to overcome this illness. Her intention was the best, even doing it behind the scenes. And it was touching when she revealed that she remembers the play Lynette played in her senior year of school. She is amazing.
And speaking of Lynette: I LAUGHED SOOOOOOOO much with her high at Susan’s party, and kicking the lamp. Using Edie’s suicide attempt to mime!!! ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT MOMENTS OF THE SHOW. And Andrew seeing her all happy was funny. Her laugh in this episode was contagious.
Edie’s subtlety when showing the engagement ring to the girls. Rubbing them in the face. That was funny. But the situation with Carlos is getting harder and harder to swallow. It seems that Edie has totally lost her self-love. Or maybe she did fall in love with Carlos, but in an obsessive way. Because she wasn’t like this before. Insisting on hooking a guy, getting married, holding him to her... All this for a guy who has already made it clear that he doesn’t return her feeling. Let Carlos go! At least now we know what he wants with that guy: get rid of the account. And so get rid of her traps.
You’re rooting for Carlos to get rid of Edie and stay with Gaby for good, then comes this scene in which Victor clearly states that he would have his wife’s lover killed if she cheated on him. Oh God.
Finally, I always find it totally unnecessary for Gaby to flirt with Adam just to make Carlos jealous. Katherine wasn’t wrong or exaggerating in asking her to stop, because she was doing just that. And man, it was awful of Katherine telling people to imagine “the worst thing a father can do to his daughter”, because that gives a clear idea of rape. Only to later claim that she did it to prevent them from asking questions. This secret that she hides has to be very, very hairy for her to throw people off like this... And that ending with her crying in front of that mark on the bedroom floor. Wow.
Mike has lost his memory and seems to have gone a little crazy too, doesn’t he? Edie told him all that shit about Susan, a lot of lies, although she didn’t hide the fact that they did have a relationship. And Mike decided to treat Susan with complete indifference just because of these statements, without listening to anyone else. Okay. Then in this episode he asks Edie what their relationship was like. And she doesn’t lie (that’s a miracle, but she was smart, it was natural manipulation), she says he wouldn’t even look at her. Interestingly, even though she was despised by him, she shows up every day at the hospital and he doesn’t question her motives. But Susan, who has been visiting him for six months and ANYONE can confidently say that, he decides to ignore her. I hate that. I feel sorry for Susan when she comes to his hospital room and catches Edie and Mike in the act, man. I don’t think she deserved it...
Still about Susan, I die with the sequence where she goes to Ian’s house drunk. The horrified expression of that woman who runs out of the bathroom after seeing her vomiting is hilarious. And Ian having fun! The moment the two of them were at her house the next day was so cute, with him asking those questions. I think Ian is a very handsome and charming man. And if Susan is safe and wants to try something with him, she can go ahead. Now she has nothing else to stop her. Mike woke up and doesn’t want anything to do with her. Never mind... It’s just frustrating because everything that’s happening is pretty unfair, it’s the height of Edie’s evil. But do what...
The war between Gaby and Carlos is going to get heavier now. I laugh so hard when she pushes him through the second floor window, man. And the best part is the velvety tone she uses to call out to him when she realizes he’s entered the house. Just as she was radical when she made him catch her in bed with another man, he was radical by coming up with that fake 2-year contract for 2 million dollars. But I think it’s sad that Gaby decided to seduce him and take him to bed just because of that. And the worst thing about this whole situation is that we know they still love each other, she admitted herself. Imaginary money or not, they could talk and try to put all these hurts behind them, after all, they’ve both hurt each other on the same levels. Anyway, it’s amazing to follow this conflict.
Sour Bree is wonderful. “Nice to be seen,” that made me laugh. Now, it’s too shocking when Carolyn showed her those pictures and the reports from the complaint against Orson. I feel so sorry for Bree. Photos don’t really lie and discovering her husband’s dark past like that... Now there’s no way she can’t imagine what he might have done to Alma. Poor Bree!
Orson’s reaction when he learned that Carolyn’s husband was Monique’s lover... And what about the decision he made, to identify her to the police and still put his “friend” on the suspect list? What’s his interest in all this? Mike also had a flash about her. We now know that whatever connection he had with Orson before the accident is through Monique. BTW: what a conduct of investigators calling Mike’s amnesia “convenient”, being ironic about it. Didn’t they talk to any doctors? Didn’t they know he was hit by a car and spent six months in a coma?
Kayla playing gossip girl and calling Nora right after Tom and Lynette’s fight!!! And Nora is a bitch... I’m impressed with how much she takes advantage of a couple’s fragile moment to get what she wants. Good thing Tom is honorable and faithful. He didn’t get carried away, he recognized that everything Lynette says and does is aiming for what’s best for them as a family... Nora didn’t expect this and was still frustrated at being rejected. BTW: Ultimately Lynette agreed to fully support Tom’s dream. Even though I understand her reasons for questioning everything and worrying, I find her very petty saying that she would support him “if the dream was worthy”...
This scene in which Lynette destroys the door of Nora’s house is anthological. One of the most memorable of the series. And I love Lynette putting Nora in her rightful place, laying down the new rules of coexistence (which will be non-existent) and still threatening to break her spine while hugging her. LYNETTE, I WORSHIP YOU.
How can you not laugh at that TV interview with Andrew? It’s very funny him saying that his mother abandoned him, that his father was murdered by her boyfriend. And the woman in the lobby adding “some people just shouldn’t have kids.” Orson pisses me off a little, wanting to go ahead with the trip, even with a situation that left Bree absolutely shocked. She would never be okay at the resort knowing that her son, no matter how bad he is, is eating garbage and sleeping on the street, right? “Don’t make me choose between you and my son, because believe me, you will lose.”
And although I don’t like Orson at all, it’s always good to recognize when someone does something good and that goes for the scene where he decides to go after Andrew to encourage reconciliation. Despite the mysteries that surround him, the dark past that is being revealed little by little, this attitude shows that he really cares about Bree and her happiness. He saw that she was unhappy with these events and tried to reverse the situation. And his brief words had an effect on Andrew, who decided to go back. He could have done it sooner, but he was there to punish her, just like Orson said. And enough of this punishment. It’s time to live harmoniously.
I’m really used to Nora, because her madness doesn’t bother me at all. On the contrary, I have fun with the outbreaks and especially with Lynette’s reactions to everything. Nora yelling at the truck guy makes me laugh so hard. And that moment of Lynn all happy eating her lunch and finding Nora alone on the road is AWESOME. Nora is a difficult woman to get along with, but I really admire Kiersten Warren’s work because she turns that side of her into something really comical. And seriously, the duo with Lynette is amazing! They don’t get along and that’s what makes it so good.
Speaking of Lynette: Poor thing, even when she takes a weekend off, she has to run to the rescue of her family. Tom is not good for being alone with the children, something always happens to him... And it was intriguing what Nora said, about him not being able to open up to his wife about what he feels and what he wants in life. Damn. But I liked Lynn giving this incentive, both for him to open up and to follow what he wants to do and never did...
Susan’s arc is very strange... Man, the amount of condoms Ian took on their trip: surreal. But I still think it’s too early for her to get involved with someone else like that. Not for him, because Jane has been in a coma for years. And Mike has been in this situation for “only” six months... And he’s still alive. If Susan feels like she’s cheating, then she could have given it a little more time. I can’t understand this fixation she has on always having someone. She could get closer to Ian and get to know him better, as friends... In the future, who knows? But as it was, it was VERY fast. Then after spending SIX MONTHS going to the hospital to visit him, Mike goes and wakes up to the moment she is in the arms of another man. And with Edie present... You can already imagine the drama that could possibly follow, right? If Susan felt guilty before, that will triple.
One of the best scenes of the episode is Gaby inside that suitcase! FUCK! To be honest, I LOVE this reunion with John, I really do. And I LOVE that they got back together, they have a lot of chemistry. Now the situations have been reversed. She’s the lover, and he’s committed. But I also liked that he politely declined her request to become lovers. Not wanting to have a marriage like that, trying to make it work, is essential.
“That’s what all good girls say before they become bad girls. Believe me, I know.” I chose to love you, Edie Britt.
Starting with the flashbacks: once again, they were amazing! Past episode was showing how each one arrived at Wisteria Lane, this one shows key moments of their lives and how they connect to the present. Bree and Rex talking at the drugstore, she saying she needs to have a firm grip on her kids so they don’t get out of the way. How ironic. Look how they both turned out. And George’s presence! “And you are a good man.” He fooled everyone by being nice. Then Lynette pissed off when Tom insinuated that they would have another baby!!! But boy, what an insatiable man! Eight hours into delivery of the FOURTH baby, Lynette finished, and he was already talking about naming his fifth child!!! And Gaby’s first date with John. He was a virgin…and positively surprised her in sex. The world goes round. Two years ago, sex for Carlos was sacred and he was incapable of cheating on her, and now... Susan had only a small flashback at the end showing her happiness with Karl, which shortly after would be summed up.
I’m shocked at the way that employee talks to Bree. Calling her crazy and that he would have fun watching her trapped every day. But what the fuck? Her expression defined me. The escape moment was awesome! Brave and bold, Bree threw the sand at the doctor without remorse. And all in the name of the children, even when they are Andrew and Danielle...
Danielle was a huge disappointment. She left that ridiculous letter for Bree, said she wouldn’t come back, but at the first difficulty eka decided to run home to steal her mother’s money and food. huh? Aren’t she and Matthew mature adults? Anyway... The moment of Betty’s confrontation with Matthew was very tense. And I totally understand her side, when she agreed that she gave Caleb more love for being “special”. Matthew is mad, unable to understand his brother’s needs. Not to mention the cowardice of killing the girl and hiding it...
The ending to this arc is amazing and sooo impactful. That sequence at Bree’s is breathtaking. I hold my breath as she takes the steps toward Matthew, telling Danielle she’s going to prove he’s no good. She took too many risks and all in the name of an ungrateful daughter! The shot was very unexpected. I don’t think I even wanted him to die, he had to pay. With this reality check that Danielle has taken, I hope she learns to be a little more humble and value her mother more as well. As for Betty, I feel SO sorry for her. I’m always saddened by the look on her face when she sees Matthew’s body being taken out of the house. Above all he was a son, and that is an image no mother wants to see. Unlike most, I’ve always liked this character a lot, for the strength, for the way she protects her children. Memorable! I would love for her to continue in the series. Alfre Woodard is an actress I admire a lot.
Oh, and this season has an owner: Bree Van de Kamp. And Marcia Cross! What a character and what an actress! Impeccable.
It was shocking to see that Susan was actually going to accept Karl’s house. Glad Mike made her see things right and even said that he did all that because he saw him buying the ring. Overall I like Karl, but enough of this manipulation and enough of interfering in Susan’s life. He already had his chance and he didn’t take it, threw it away. Time to move on... I love Susan all excited about that dinner, the trailer decor with those lights was so beautiful!! Too bad it was all in vain, damn. She alone there waiting and believing that Mike didn’t go because she had no interest. I feel bad for her!
Mike’s hit-and-run is too BRUTAL. I think this scene is very strong and very well done. There’s no way not to fear what will result from that blow there. And besides, it was Orson who ran him over. The conversation they had in the office was already quite intriguing. Mike said he knew him from somewhere and Orson was keen to walk away. And now he’s done all this to get rid of him – a hit like that, the intention was to kill him. On top of that, he took an interest in Bree! It’s amazing how she has a magnet for mad men. Stay away from that man, Bree. You deserve better.
I have fun with Nora! She’s really unbearable, but you can’t help but laugh at her weirdness. I think Lynette contributes a lot to that. In this episode alone they already had clashes and Lynn doesn’t let it go – raising her voice in the restaurant was great. And the final scene where they talk at home is one of my favorites from the episode. Nora losing her temper and revolting at Lynette’s ill will in the conversation!!! And Lynn’s frightened expressions. Her life is now going to get complicated as the crazy woman is going to live so close. Poor Lynette.
I feel hatred and repulsion for Carlos and Xiao-Mei. Gabrielle said it all as she threw his clothes out. She gave the go-ahead for him to have an affair, but meaningless one-night stand. He was having sex with the housekeeper, who, oddly enough, is their surrogate. And that’s after Gaby gave up a lot of things to do his will. Carlos raped Gaby’s body to make her pregnant. And yet, even going against her ideals, she accepted becoming a mother because of him. He deserved to be kicked out of the house. Xiao-Mei has no shame. And the worst part is that she was still mad at Gaby. Really, honey?
Zach is laughable. I found that, at least for this moment, I really hate this guy. And I think it’s despicable what he does to Paul, who wasn’t a bad father. Simply abandoning him like that just shows how bad this boy is. Mary Alice doesn’t even comment on this in her narrations. I suppose she’s very heartbroken, she gave her life to protect this brat and that’s how he repays everything they’ve done for him.
I so love these flashbacks showing how each of the women came to Wisteria Lane and how Mary Alice met them. And the first impression was the face of each of them. Susan always clumsy, managing the stunt of locking herself inside the moving truck – her hair in the second flashback made me laugh out loud. Bree with all her politeness telling Andrew to recite a monologue so she won’t be judged as a mother for his actions. Lynette in a war with Tom over her career and kids – I can’t help but laugh with her nervous because twins are common in his family, and even more so when she says it’s her “first and last pregnancy”, she had no idea. Gaby and her libido with Carlos !!! And besides, it was wonderful to see Mary Alice again. How friendly, thoughtful she was.
I confess I laughed with Bree telling Orson, the psychiatrist, the woman in the living room, that she’s not crazy. Exactly something a crazy person would say inside a clinic to treat mental illness. But anyway, it is unfortunate that voluntary hospitalization has become such a big problem. Gosh, she just wanted some time off to rest her head, as she was about to have a nervous breakdown. Being drugged and trapped like that is hard to see. Even more considering what motivated her to try to run away like that, right? I hate this psychiatrist deciding what’s best for her just because she’s a patient there. I think the fact that she was admitted by choice should count.
Speaking of Bree’s motivations: it’s not entirely surprising that Matthew was actually Melanie’s killer, considering the fact that the guy allowed her mother to carry out her plan to kill Caleb, for something he hadn’t committed. That says a lot about him. Caleb has mental issues and Matthew is a psychopath as he spent 1 year hiding the truth and has no remorse for what he did. I feel sorry for Betty in all of this, I really do. I really like this character, I feel sorry for her for all this suffering with her children.
I like how simple Susan is. She’s all excited to be living inside the trailer while the house isn’t rebuilt, that’s pretty contagious. Even in the face of these dark moments, she remains up. Mike giving that kiss in front of Mike was GREAT. Too bad he couldn’t hide his intention to propose, bad timing when he went to the store to buy the ring. And Karl is so jealous. He claims to act for Susan’s well-being, but so far he’s only given her trouble. Deciding to buy a house like that just because of Mike’s intentions. Ouch... And as tempting as it is, I don’t want Susan leaving Wisteria Lane. She should accept, but then sell the house to keep the money. After all, even though he wasn’t the one who burned her house down, Karl was the motivation...
Porter spent the day at the pool and still wanted more! Typical child. But it’s actually scary when he loses his balance and falls off the balcony, thank goodness he wasn’t too high... He broke an arm, but the damage could have been worse. This reunion between Lynette and Tom is tense, man. But at least it’s comforting to know that the secret he hides is about fatherhood and not cheating. Lynette pushing him over the chairs!!! And he’s a child conceived before he met and married Lynn. His expression when she says she’s already let him go... Hopefully they’ll face it together. I love that final moment so much when she decides to come home.
Man, it’s so tense when Gaby sees on TV that Carlos is dead, and then gets that call. Too impactful. But then all this sadness for him soon turns to anger, because it’s very clear that he’s cheating on Gaby with Xiao-Mei - it’s not so much the fact that she’s the housekeeper, but because she’s bearing the child . Well, Carlos encouraged Gaby to go to training and said he wouldn’t go with her because he had to do community service. In the end, he paid Ralph and got out. Xiao-Mei runs out of the house asking what Gaby is doing there and begs her not to kill Carlos. And then she finds him in the kitchen all sweaty and weird... Gaby isn’t stupid, she got it.
Finally... Zach stating that Paul is not his father during that visit... That boy is so annoying. Paul may have his faults, but I believe he is, indeed, a good father. He and Mary Alice were great parents. What happened to Deirdre was a tragedy, but he wasn’t even the one who killed her. It’s disturbing how easy Zach finds it to look that man in the eye and say he’s “not his father”, knowing the guy gave his blood to raise him. Zach has sociopathic traits, and that’s worrying. Anyway, the biggest surprise in this arc is Zach having the courage to kill his grandfather just to get his hands on his money. Mary Alice, Paul and Mike killed someone at some point in their lives. But never out of ambition.
The baby isn’t even Frank’s and the guy was super inconvenient, he went after his brother who knows where for him to confront the Solis and “kidnap” the baby right away. Gabrielle was perfect when she went to his high school and made that thinly veiled threat in front of everyone. This scene is priceless.
In the end, it was all too good to be true. This issue of adopting behind the scenes, with money illegally involved, etc., could only be a problem. But it was too horrible when the police arrived and took the girl away. Eva Longoria was impeccable, she evoked very well the character’s despair in the face of loss. You can’t help but be touched by those screams, the statements that “it’s too late, we’ve already fallen in love with her”. So sad... And as for Libby, I can only feel hate. What a disgusting, repulsive woman, from the beginning she played with the Solis. From the very first second. I think that was always her intention, to tear them apart for fun. “We’ll give you your money back,” what a joke.
The height of embarrassment: accidentally sending a dirty sex message to your boss!!! And I laughed so hard with Lynette helping Ed’s sex life, sending those messages to his wife. It was funny. And with such a bitter ending. Ed is a coward. He could’ve said to his wife that he went to Lynette, that she was acting on his orders, because she knows how to communicate better, and that he just can’t afford to lose her, after all she’s the vice president of the company. Pathetic of him to promise to fire Tom, and that he’s going to investigate to do so for just cause. Fuck! I HATE these injustices.
Karl trying to run away and getting hit by the garbage truck!! “It never occured to him that God might be a woman”, LOVED IT. We already knew that Edie was very fond of Karl, she always showed it after they got together. I felt sorry for her. And it’s amazing how she and Susan connect in the face of these crises, and Susan is always “responsible” for something that makes Edie’s world fall apart. So it was with the house fire and so it is now – although I don’t hold Susan responsible at this point, she went to bed with Karl believing he and Edie were separated. Karl is the one to blame... Anyway, we know that this bomb should explode soon and Edie will be even more angry. After all, she was betrayed by her “sister”.
BTW: the diner scene is one of my favorites. Crazy Edie making the woman fall over the chicken and the war afterwards is just too funny. “MAYER! 4 TO 1, HELP ME!” and Susan throwing herself at them. Unforgettable!
I think it’s exaggerated what Bree does with Peter’s guardian, to get him out of the way. In addition to the guy being arrested for trafficking, she still made others believe he was using. And from the reports, he did seem to be a good guardian. But anyway... She’s really interested in Peter and I loved that moment when the two of them talked in the bathroom at the sex party, and Bree says she can handle anything as long as they’re honest with her.
Finally: Matthew and Danielle, I’m disgusted. Danielle proving that she doesn’t stray too far from Andrew in badness. And Matthew is a manipulator. I think it’s ABSURD that he orders his brother, who has mental problems, to break into his girlfriend’s house and try to kiss her even if there are protests. Something much worse could have happened in the act. And Betty’s decision is heavy and impactful.
What an unpleasant woman, Bree’s stepmother. That moment when the two of them talk in the living room and Eleanor just announces that Andrew is moving in with them, and still makes fun of Bree and how much she tried to be recognized as a little girl, wow... “I could lie and say something nice , but that was your mother’s job.” How horrible. But anyway, I really LOVED that Bree teamed up with Justin to manipulate Mr. Mason – we already knew about her conservatism, but now we can see the origin with our own eyes. It was effective in keeping the kid at home, but it was sad to see his grandparents changing their minds so quickly just because he’s gay. Worse: they simply decided to CUT his fund, they took the boy’s money because of his sexuality. Andrew won’t get a penny. Considering the things he’s been up to, I’d say this is partly well done. But if we look closely at the reasons, it’s sad.
As for Bree, it was only a matter of time. When she displayed that homophobic behavior last season, stones rained down on her – and I don’t judge, because I was disappointed myself. But she’s a mother, she has love for Andrew, the only thing needed was time for her to understand things better and accept Andrew for who he is. This has already started to happen and I thought it was beautiful that she invited Justin to dinner. There’s an effort on her part to make things work. I hope Andrew allows himself to humanize a little and gives her another chance too...
Karl was a complete asshole to Susan, AGAIN. He was just too ridiculous to make her believe that his marriage and his relationship with Edie was over... He took advantage of her fragility about her feelings for him, to try to manipulate her. Now she must open her eyes for good, he hasn’t changed as much as he appeared. In the midst of it all, I laugh a lot at Julie’s reactions, especially when Susan kicks Karl out of the house in his underwear! All she needed to do was say “I told you so”. And I also feel sorry for Edie, because she didn’t deserve this...
Finally, we have Felicia’s storyline that was AWESOME! Her tricks on Paul are so much fun. Butter, gasoline! And, of course, house pest control. And I love her cynical smile. She does things, and makes it very clear that she did, like when she commented on butter being a baking ingredient at the same time she was baking, it was great. Felicia is determined to make Paul suffer. And I’m loving it!
I can’t help it: I’m always disappointed in Lynette’s stance in this episode every time I watch it. First, because of the question she asks Bree at the beginning, “do you want me to lie?”, as if she had witnessed some kind of abuse against Andrew. And second, because she wonders if Bree would be able to beat Andrew to the point of leaving him with those bruises on his face. This carries a greater weight for later seeing that Gaby didn’t blink for a second to stay by her friend’s side. Because she knows her and because she knows teenagers are tough, and it’s a fact for everyone that Andrew is troubled. I wish Lynette had seen it that way at first. It took her to have a brief conversation of less than 5 minutes with him to realize that he was lying...
Anyway, luckily this disappointment goes away for good when Lynette gives the statement. Fortunately, she decided to do the right thing and even nipped Andrew: “I hate liars”, and then she looks him right in the face. Andrew yelling at the lawyer that Lynette is lying makes me want to storm that room and give him the beating he deserves.
One of the most emblematic episodes of Game of Thrones. Peter Dinklage absurdly flawless in each of the words he said during the last scene. You really are capable of feeling Tyrion’s disappointment and hatred.
“Anyone can be killed.”
Arya and Tywin are two complex and very interesting characters.
Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some, are given a chance to climb. They refuse, they cling to the realm or the gods or love. Illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is.
Tyrion’s pain when he killed Shae... I hated her. He really fell in love, she didn’t. Tywin’s death is also among the most iconic moments of this show. Not only for the dialogue that culminates in the arrows, which for me is absolutely fantastic, but for the context of the situation: the all-powerful, noble, wealthy Tywin Lannister murdered in a toilet.
Brienne’s fight with the Hound was so brutal and violent. An interesting curiosity about Arya: in seasons 2, 3 and 4, her last line in the last episode was “Valar Morghulis”.
Best season of the series so far.
For a second, Sansa thought she’d be safe. Just for a second. Lysa is completely crazy, and this episode makes it clear that Baelish really is an untrustworthy person. He’s very intelligent and strategist. Therefore, extremely dangerous. Sansa must not trust him.
Arya will be upset when she finds out that Joffrey is dead and she wasn’t the one who killed him.
I really wish Bran had spoken to Jon...
“Don’t trust anybody. Life is safer that way.”
I hate Joffrey with all my strength. But his scenes are always incredible, precisely because the script and the actor can easily evoke the feeling of revolt, frustration and disgust for the character’s attitudes.
Carlos' behavior in this episode is ABSURD. He attacked Gaby in a brutal way and used physical violence to get her to sign the document. Asshole!
Susan breaking the poor manicurist's nose, LMAO!
“I’m not... I’m not gay.”
This was just... PRICELESS.
Fairy Godmother singing while Shrek attacks and invades the Far Far Away palace with the Giant Cookie is one of the best scenes in history and I have said.
These GOT cliffhangers always take my breath away. And for me it is very satisfying to see that smile disappear from Lysa’s annoying face before flying out of the Moon Door.
Highlight for Tyrion and Oberyn’s dialogue. Cersei has been monstrous since she was a child. This woman is despicable. Who knew Oberyn would have the perfect opportunity to take his revenge right now. Iconic is the moment when he declares that he’ll be Tyrion’s champion.
Joffrey and Cersei are the same. But it was so satisfying to see her slapping him in the face. And he is so sadistic that even his own mother was afraid of being killed. He had babies killed in King's Landing. BABIES. Poor Sansa having to live among these venomous snakes.
Sexy. Perceptive. Strong. Beautiful. One of a kind.
Andrew seems to enjoy being mean and cruel. And it's no use for him to say that all this anger he feels comes from Bree's reaction to his homosexuality, because they haven't gotten along since the Pilot. He's almost a psychopath, he seems to like to see his mother suffer and to cause her suffering. I can't stand him saying he's going to report her for killing George! He has no morals to do that since he ran over and left Mama Solis lying in the middle of the street to die. That day, he came home crying, asking “Mommy” for help, right?
Andrew being an asshole doesn't excuse how disappointing it is to see Bree being homophobic. I hope she evolves, if Andrew allows it... After all, with what he intends and the things he says...
I'm very sorry about what happens at the Van de Kamp house. The confrontation between Bree and Rex, his heart attack, and her negligence in helping him... And we have George to blame. He's so disgusting. I don't understand how Bree doesn't realize how manipulative and a liar this guy is.
Lynette and Tom must go to war now. She interfered in the worst ways in this matter of his work.
Lynette's storyline with Karen is so reflective and touching. I like this discussion about loneliness and how we're not made to deal with it.
I'm sorry about Bree's homophobic behavior. I hope she accepts her son as he is, at some point. And I hope Andrew is also able to evolve, he's a very disturbed and angry kid.
Andrew is an asshole. How dare he spit in Bree's face?
I love Susan, but she needs to mature. She's made a fuss about Mike's past, hasn't been willing to listen to him, and now doesn't even bother to read the letter.
I just love the dynamic between Susan and Edie in this episode. They are fun together and it was nice to see Edie making that "sacrifice" to get away with breaking into Paul's house.
