Just as bad as I remembered the show, well done!
It's been 18 Years since I was in Afgahnistan with the German Army so the last few days/weeks have been a "bit" heartbreaking but this episode hit me hard. All this for NOTHING. Fuckssake...
Haha, the weirder the better!
After last week's very good entry this is another one, I like that. Keep it up. :D
That might actually be the best Netflix movie to date. Realistic work which shows a chapter of largely forgotten Irish military and UN history, kudos.
So I've just seen the english trailer for this and they are selling it as if it's such a comedic laughfest?? That is such a shame since many ppl will watch this with totally wrong expectations and will be "disappointed". Something the movie has absolutely not deserved since it's such an incredible human drama... too bad, really. I enjoyed it wholeheartedly, esp. with that ending.
Oh well, I guess they were right with cancelling this? SINCE THERE IS NOT FRIGGIN SHOUT HERE BESIDE MY OWN? Where are the fans of this fantastic show?!
Beside Emily Owens M.D. this was a great, fresh and entertaining new medical show with a FANTASTIC cast and it was just axed by TNT without ever getting a real chance... too bad, it will sorely be missed by me and others who highly enjoyed it.
10 Episodes, wow, what a shame...
You know, this movie holds up pretty well.
I've seen it in the cinema 5 years ago and just again now. Still highly entertaining, fantastic and imaginative action sequences and just lots of fun from start to end.
Those butt-hurt by the "bad comic adaptation" can kiss my ass, just enjoy it for what it is - a nice action movie that doesn't take itself too seriously.
Still looking forward to the sequel. :]
The noises I make while watching this show are just not human... great start into series 19 today! Fun from start to end and I curse the day when this season will be over waaaay to soon again. :/
I HOPE THAT BOTH YOUR LEGS GET BROKEN.
Look, I am not the biggest football fan and I couldn't care less about the brits or welsh in particular and all that but THIS is just some damn good TV.
The tension and all, the human stories they tell over the season... absolutely fantastic stuff.
14 Seasons in and they still deliver hilarious episodes!
Oof, tough but important episode - well done.
Massive TW: Domestic violence
5/5.
But no, honestly. That was pretty brilliant, I will miss this show.
Yay, "mainstream media" talking about it and not just Jim Sterling!
Love the girls, love the topics and most of all LOVE the music. Whoever is in charge of picking the songs for the episodes need a friggin raise because they are KILLING IT!
Look. If you can ignore some of the Chinese propaganda (honestly, we've seen this for 50 years from the Americans now, why are the Chinese not allowed to do the same?) and some of Chinas ulterior motives in the south china sea, then you are getting a fucking insane non-stop 2 hour+ action galore here. Operation Mekong was pretty crazy already but THIS is next level. Considering some of the garbage from china I've seen in the last year, this is WAY above all of that. Fantastic production values, a good FX budget and some crazy on-location shot's in Morocco that you simply have not seen in anything from China yet. Also the gore and mutilation in this was something I absolutely did not expect.
So yeah, watch if for the non-stop action and have a good time!
Fuck yeah, loved this since I dearly missed the shit-show that "The Soup" was. :D
This is pretty much a continuation of the old show with a "Netflix vibe" and some International stuff thrown in which I highly appreciate. Also that outro song was brilliant and ooooh so true.
Haha what a riot. If that episode was any indication of the quality and laugh-ration of future episodes, I will be highly enjoying them!
Maaaan what a well done movie. It may be no Gravity and it might be an over-dramatisation of what happened to Salyut 7 but still! Production wise this is right up there and if anything it at least might make you read up on the Salyut and Soyuz (esp. Soyuz 11) programs. Good stuff!
That, was actually pretty good.
Certainly a well done adaptation of an interesting book.
Extra kudos for having (almost?) the entire Somali cast consist of ACTUAL Somalis, most of them refugees.
While the story was a bit of a mess (I think?!) the camera work and the action sequences were absolutely insane. How?! Certainly a ride and one of the best action movies of the year tbh.
Surprisingly well done movie, again. Such opulent set and costume design and some breathtaking shots, mesmerizing! The whole first 5 minutes or something are so well done, couldn't believe I was watching a Russian movie if it wasn't for the whole setting and all. Great soundtrack and two beautiful actors in the main parts that have some true chemistry. Unfortunately it gets a BIT cheesy at the end but if you can stomach that, this is one beautiful romantic fairy tale!
Very well acted movie with a look into history not often or at all brought to film. I do especially appreciate the casting of German/Austrian actors for the German's in the movie, made it all the more authentic. I also wouldn't mind a "sequel" telling what happened in the months and years to come since it isn't any less interesting or important.
How incredibly good season 3 is so far... mind-boggling.
After that ending of season 2 they REALLY chugged along strong and thinking they could hardly top that, they constantly do. Can not even imagine what they will pull this season finale. Keep it coming, now that Breaking Bad is over this is the best written show on TV right now.
I don't really understand the seemingly universal praise the show gets here.
All the characters in it are so incredibly unlike-able that its almost painful for me to watch. I shall try and power through the last 2 episodes for this season but I'm pretty certain that I won't pick it up next season if they don't have something incredible in store for the remaining two. The story is not THAT entertaining or interesting to keep me invested in this show and stomach all the nonsensical decisions and bullshit that horrible mother of that idiot son spouts...
Quite an interesting format, reporting about issues not often enough talked or reported about in the "mainstream media". Tho I think some of the hipsters working there seem kinda unfit for the job, I'm nonetheless looking forward to the coming episodes and issues tackled there!
I'm not sure why I've watched this for so long but it's about time it stops.
Current season is the worst so far and thus I say goodbye.
Now if that wasn't one of the best clip episodes ever then I don't know! :D
Absolutely stunning visual masterpiece that is looking for an equal, not only in the chinese animated movie space.
The story and themes were also deeper than expected, just like the sea I guess!
If you can experience this in a cinema, preferably in 3D even, it should be experienced that way!
I unfortuantely spoiled myself and checked on Wikipedia in which league the club plays so the finale was kinda.... set in stone for me. But how we got here and that final game was quite a ride. What a great first season with lots of character and heart and I look forward to season two!
