Life is in their hands. Death is on their minds.
The defense and the prosecution have rested and the jury is filing into the jury room to decide if a young Spanish-American is guilty or innocent of murdering his father. What begins as an open and shut case soon becomes a mini-drama of each of the jurors' prejudices and preconceptions about the trial, the accused, and each other.

Definitely one of my top five favorite movies of all time. I could never get tired of it.

The story really shows the beauty of the American judicial system, and the importance of a trial by jury, in particular, the gravity of a juror's duty.

in this modern day I'm not really into black and white movies until I watched this masterpiece, this is fairly simple movie its like a social experiment when you put a different kind of people with different backgrounds, attitudes and viewpoints, discussing in a closed forum about subject that shouldn't have any reference to any of them and they are expected to give their wit and obejctivity, the stars are Lee J. Cobb and henry fonda with supreme acting and director sidney lumet who brilliantly mix 12 people with only single movie set seasoned with simple plot and climatic ending into a stunning drama filled with emotion and argument, fantastic!!
